The Gaither Vocal Band’s newest lead singer, Adam Crabb, comes with a lifetime of musical training. As a member of the award-winning Crabb Family, he learned early in life how to harmonize and blend like a pro; now after approximately two decades of on-stage and studio work his rich musical heritage is evident. In addition to his seasoned musicianship and soulful vocal delivery, Adam’s love for his Savior and unique gift for communicating the heart of a song truly makes him one of the most authentic voices in gospel music today. Adam considers gospel music more than just a career, it is his life’s calling. He states, “You cannot tell me that dreams do not come true. As a child, I would listen to The Gaither Vocal Band, and I dreamed of one day being able to sing with them. and here I am… I am proof that when you surrender everything to God, not just your heart, but your wants…and even your problems, that He will give you the desires of your heart.” Crabb will be the featured artist on Sunday of the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair. Sunday will see local gospel talent on the Smith Iron Works Stage and will culminate with a concert by Adam Crabb. Regular gate admission of $5 to the fair includes the concert.

All of the sites, sounds and events at the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair are a huge draw for fair-goers from all over the area, but one of the big draws at the fair are the various livestock shows that are held under the pavilion each day of the fair.

The fair showcases agriculture in the county and provides local 4-H and FFA students the opportunity to show their animals in competition. But it isn’t just Chattooga County 4-H and FFA students that take part in the shows. Because the fair is held shortly after school starts back in August of each year, it is the first opportunity in the state of Georgia for students to show their livestock. That means there are entries into the various livestock shows from all over the state, with many competitors travelling hundreds of miles to compete in Chattooga County. Each year, the livestock shows at the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair reach maximum entry for participation and this year is no exception.

There is so much to see and do each year at the fair, but fair-goers are encouraged to take some time and enjoy the livestock shows that take place each year.
