Canyon hiking route with red buttes & lofty viewpoints, hailed as a center for spiritual energy.

The full hike was at least 7 miles out and back but totally worth it! The final lookout has great views of the valley. The subway was also cool if that's your primary focus. It does get crowded trying to go up and down. I recommend doing that first early morning, for limited parking none the less.

Andrew C — Google review

I love this trail. Some shade, trees, creek bed. Beautiful rock cliffs surround the trail. Have done the box canyon and the subway caves trail. Both are beautiful and worth the hike!

Lori S — Google review

A nice quiet, secluded spot tucked up away at the end of the canyon. We hiked all the trail that was here and it ended up being a good 8 miles that took about 3.5 hours. There are also some interesting ancient Native American ruins, which you can see in one of the pictures

Ryan S — Google review

My experience was paramount 3hrs of bliss, Serene Scenery, positive vibes, and a good work out to boot.A fabulous way to spend a new years day.Early arrival minimal tourist and snow on the ground trees and Canyon perimeter.Parking free for this holiday and early on plenty of spaces. One of the Best hikes on Planet 🌏.Took a 100 plus pics and they barely do this Valhalla any justice. This place is an absolute MUST!!!💯🌈🌐!

Jaimzvi — Google review

Subway cave was amazing. Took a while to get there but worth it. You will see a route to take to get there on your right side. People mark arrows and created a entrance to help you know which route to take.

Matt W — Google review

This is one of the top rated hikes in Sedona. You can take the Boynton Canton Trail to the end, which we did not do. All trails shows it as a 6.1 mile out & back with 826’ total elevation gain. This trail most people take to branch off and get to the Subway caves. We walked fairly quick and was not terribly busy and made it round trip in about 2 hours and clocked about 5 miles. This time did not include the hangout time at Subway Cave. Others also access the Birthing cave from this trailhead. The hike is beautiful in itself as you walk along The Enchantment Resort and down through the brush in the riverbed area. The Subway cave is a must with stunning views.

Austin H — Google review

Great hike and so beautiful. The hike was pretty easy and pretty level until close to the turnaround point when we had to climb rock and boulders, but the view in the end was worth short scramble.

Vera K — Google review

We experienced four seasons in one day. Amazing how the climate can change in 3 miles. The middle of the trail was covered in snow. Also very slippery ice at some hilly parts. Even fell hard on my bum ;)

Sonja — Google review

Great hike. Apparently there are some caves at the end but there's a sign before your get there advising you not to continue, which I obeyed, so it's anyones guess. Prepare for ice and snow on the latter third of the trail if hiking in winter. I fortunately brought micro spikes. Parking lot was full as I arrived as well, so maybe try to get there early. Some amazing views and challenging sections tho, definitely worth a visit.

Dylan S — Google review

Loved this hike. The trail is rocky and sometimes very sandy. The views are extremely beautiful, the cliff dwellings were interesting as well. Highly recommend this trail.

Scott D — Google review

Ok so this is not for beginners no matter what they say. It was absolutely beautiful and shaded a lot of the way but also very steep and rocky. From the parking lot it is 3.1 miles to the end of the trail and that spot is worth the hike. The scenery along the way is truly right out of a fairybook. I took plenty of pictures to share along the way. We even came upon a deer minding his business, pretty cool sight.

Mark B — Google review

I arrived at 6 am, and the parking lot was feeling up fast. The hike is very nice. If you want to go to Subway Cave, it is marked to get you there thanks to hikers writing on log laying on the groung

Tommy C — Google review

One of the easiest trails to go it is just a 20 minute one-way to go to the vortex and enjoy the beautiful view. Unfortunately, I could not make it as we reached here quite a bit late it was going to Sunset and I was not sure. The route is very pretty must go place in your bucket list , there are signs everywhere. Do not feed the bear so be careful don’t carry food along with you, there is a public restroom at the parking area which is very dirty, so if possible, finish your personal job before heading towards the trail and try to drink as much water as possible so you can avoid using this restroom.

Jay S — Google review

Great trail, most can do it, would say it's moderate. Has a nice pace, and just before the key cave and lookout ledge it's a little challenge, just step over step, slow to get up the narrow side , and your good. Yes I would do this trail again. Great place to take out of towners.b

Alon H — Google review

I loved this hike. The last 20% of the main trail and the cave are incredible. We saw a large javelina, acorn woodpeckers and hummingbirds. I suggest at least 1-1.5 liters of water per person.

John M — Google review

We did this trail to get to Subway Cave. Highly recommend it's overall a beautiful trail. The parking lot is very small so I do recommend arriving early and on the weekdays. It is a very popular trail so you will come across many other hikers. There is additional parking on the street but can add up to half a mile to your hike. There is no markings to subway cave so be sure to bring a map. There is a large tree in front of the fork that is a good indicator to turn right. Amazing views. Once you get to Subway Cave there are two ways to get up. The first you will see is a straight up climb. If you aren't wearing hiking boots can be difficult. The next is on the left hidden behind some bushes/trees. It's a much easier climb.

Mel T — Google review

Was a very peaceful hike we were able to see some deer 10 foot from the trail. It has many different aspects of hiking. You start off in a desert Sedona feeling vibe and changes to a hike you would see in Georgia in the Smokies then back to red rocks. Definitely recommend this hike don’t forget to stop at the Subway hike before you make your way back out. Arrive early to eliminate parking on the road.

Jeremiah M — Google review

This is one of the four vortexes in Sedona I always visit. The vista is wonderful and peaceful even if there’s a lot of people. You can sit for a long time or keep hiking onto other trails from this point.Parking can be hard so I tend to go later in the day.Make the turn to where it says vista

Shauna S — Google review

This hike was the perfect amount of challenge I needed. Fair warning the secret cave requires a bit of climbing. Not the most accessible if have a hard time going steep

Gisselle A — Google review

Too many RUDE people...mind you, this is a place of positive energy! No parking. Did I mention rude and inconsiderate people out for their own agenda. My uncle that is 75, people of his age were rude towards him. A place that beholds so much positive energy, is a crock and a joke. Because I experienced nothing of the sort from the people. Disgusting really! Get it together HUMANOIDS!

Jam — Google review

Made it to the caves. It's 6 miles in n out. We had our 4 year old, he had to be carried a bit but thoroughly enjoyed the caves.

Leonardo S — Google review

Beautiful trail that takes you inside a picturesque forest and eventually leads you towards Subway Cave. We enjoyed panoramic red-rock views during the first mile or so of the hike before entering the forest. It is a little confusing when attempting to reach Subway Cave (there’s a fork within the forest a couple miles in where you have to make a right), and the parking is quite limited.

Ska S — Google review

Parking is limited. Nice hike once you get past the resorts. Moderate most of the way. Little tougher getting up to the dwellings. Off shoot trail to the dwellings is easy to missTake twice as much water as you think you will need.Loved it ! Worth the time and effort

Wildlife park

Zoos & Aquariums

Out of Africa Wildlife Park is a must-visit place that provides immersive safarilike experiences with wild animals and daily presentations by knowledgeable keepers. The park ensures the well-being of its animals, making it an ideal destination for both locals and tourists. However, visitors should be aware that the weather can get very cold at times, especially after rain or snow storms. It is advisable to come prepared with warm clothing and accessories such as gloves and hats.

I loved this place, I came here for the first time on a Friday morning to avoid all the traffic and people coming on a weekend. The staff is super nice and our tour guide Jane was so adorable, we loved her corny jokes she did an amazing job. We did the supermog tour, it is very educational and the animals are shown up close as they talk about how they came to be at the park and interesting facts about them. The animals are VERY well taken care of. The enclosures are huge and they are loved so much I’m glad they are able to keep them so happy and educate people about wildlife. With everything you see in the news it’s always nice to see the babies here so happy. I wish all zoos and wildlife parks were like this towards these beautiful creatures. The owners are very involved in the park and I admire that very much because the park itself has been open for such a long time, it’s amazing they can keep up and take in so many animals after all these years. I love the schedule the park arranged. The tours are followed by shows in between certain times so it gives you enough to grab a quick bite and get a good seat. (Food is limited, wish there was more but I would’ve spent a ton of money so not a big deal because at least the food they had was good!) I’m glad I came here, it was for my anniversary and my husband and I enjoyed every part!

Kelly B — Google review

Great wildlife and safari experience! This self-guided excursion is wonderful and much better than a zoo trip. The animals are extremely close and active, and the keepers are fantastic with both the animals and the visitors. If you have time and can plan it right, make sure you do the safari tour! We had the chance to see nearly all the animals on the reserve and the option to feed the giraffes!!For those that are less mobile, there is a 4 shuttle stations throughout the loop that have trams every 20 minutes or so.Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The price may seem like a deterrent, but our experience was far more engaging and animal interactive than any we’ve had while visiting zoos.

Carl M — Google review

Love this place. My daughter and I did the Expedition Passport at 11:00am. It was worth every penny!!! The SuperMog takes you to places in the park you cannot access without the tour. If you’re in the area and looking for something fun this is it! Two places to ear and the staff is super friendly.

Christine S — Google review

Great outdoor adventure for families, Knowledgeable staff, great staff overall. Be prepared to walk but shuttles available. Expedition pass gets you a great adventure. Cost of refreshments a bit above average but reasonable if prepared. Note only personal water allowed in park. Go on a Wednesday see them treat carnivores to a feast. Feeding the giraffes was great for a up close visit with thes majestic animals.

Sam S — Google review

This is a private zoo experience. You will have the opportunity to view magnificent animals closer than ever before. More than once I thought 💭- “how tall is that fence?” & I have a fairly “zoo’s are antiquated” viewpoint. I could tell the animals are very well cared for and served as excellent ambassadors.Educational signs and updated facilities are not prevalent.I felt like I definitely got my enjoyment out of the price of admission. If I could make suggestions to the park that would be greatly appreciated it would be *MORE food & vendors* The pizza was gone before a single Tiger 🐅splash 💦 ! Invest in some churro & pretzel carts and I think you will see a positive cash flow very quickly!!! Seriously I was starving!*We paid extra for a short zip line experience. It was a splurge, but we had a great time!

CD R — Google review

This place is absolutely AMAZING!! My family and I (3 kids 10 and under) came and did the safari and the feeding of the tigers. The animals came right up to the vehicle! It was amazing to see. The staff were all extremely friendly and funny. Best family friendly experience we’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!!!

Alicia B — Google review

Definitely a place to go check out.A but pricey, but I'm sure that feeding all these animals is not cheap at all.Contrary to the Phoenix zoo, you can actually see the animals and be really close to them and still be safe.We rode the bus up the hill, and walked back, and it was worth doing. It's not a long walk even for kids.A great day, although the weather sucked for a little bit.

Jerome R — Google review

I am only giving this place a 3 star rating because of the tiger splash! Without the tigersplash show, i would have rated this place 1 star! This place is very overpriced for what you get. Many exhibits have no animals in it at all or the weeds are too high to see anything in the living spaces!Tiger splash was fun to watch though!

Shannon D — Google review

Our daughter had a great time at the park. It was a hot Arizona day. So be prepared for that. But they do have a cafe with cold fountain drinks and misters. It was really cool to see tigers, although they are not African animals. Haha. They had an interesting show in which the tigers would chase inflatable toys into a pool. It sort of neat to see them jump and splash. They also had a safari tour which was fine and you get to feed giraffes. They come right up to the side of the shuttle bus. I recommend this for anyone visiting this area.

Ryan G — Google review

I visited this park twice before years ago, and was looking forward to visiting again when I had a weekend in Arizona. It’s even better than I remembered! Their animals are beautiful and so active! We loved aWatching a full grown tiger chasing pool toys and leaping into the pool in tiger splash. The staff and volunteers clearly love the animals and want you to have the best experience! If you can, I recommend taking the VIP tour, which is a great value for all the up close experiences and stories we heard from our guide.

Chris E — Google review

This is definitely a place to visit. If you're a local or visitor. The animals are well kept and looked after. We had just visited and our only thing was it was bitterly cold. But this was after the rain and snow storm that passed. The Temps were down in the mid 30's. Be prepared if you're going out in the colder weather. I would definitely recommend having a pair of gloves and hat. The gift shop is awesome. We loved it so much we became members. We're looking forward to going back and seeing the animals and the people that take great care of them.

Robert H — Google review

A truly wonderful place. Well worth the trip. Not so crowded which was nice, able to see the animals up close. They really are majestic. The handlers seem to really love their job. Animals well cared for. Great experience all around. A must see.

corinna — Google review

Great place to stop! Visited here a year and half ago and it was well worth putting on the "things to do"" list during a trip to Sedona. The vehicle tours are worth the additional expense and it is pretty neat to go through one area of the park called the Serengeti Preserve. It feels like you are on a real African safari which I have been to in the preserves and parks of Nairobi years ago. Nice to the animals up close and in a natural habitat. Taking a self walking tour around the park is well worth it also. Animals appear to be well taken care of and the park is very clean. A wonderful educational experience learning about the animals and how the environment is impacted when a species is on the endangered list. The park can be open at times based on weather conditions, it is good to call and check before going as storms in this area during all seasons come up quick. The dirt road to the entrance can be a bit rough after a storm, so be prepared for that. Guides and staff are very knowledgeable about the animals. There is also a zip line experience. Zip lining across a wildlife park, how cool is that? Awesome!!!

Live H — Google review

Cool place lots of fun. Good amount of parking, lots of animals, and animal enclosures are made so you can walk all the way around and get a better angle (they are like several acres sometimes so it might be a bit of a walk) zip lines are fun. Because it isn't as big a zoo, it is more intimate but also can't be quite as nice. (Mostly gravel paths, only like 2 places to eat, ect) still good.

Gabriel M — Google review

The animal facilities were great. All the animals "looked happy & healthy". The staff really cared about what they were doing with the animals & the visitors. You can walk or ride. For sure, take the safari tour. Really up close & personal. Ranger was the best guide. Steve made a wonderful presentation on lizards. Dae at the gate was welcoming & helpful. Food tasted good & reasonable priced. Private donations, no government grants or oversite. We suggest you have lunch there, make a donation & tip well.

Steve H — Google review

Amazing place to experience wildlife in Arizona. I have seen wildlife in several zoos but this is totally amazing and different.I was able to see tigers and lions from a 3 feet distance. They are in natural habitat. Mostly these are recovered. They have few endangered species as well. Don't ask me why they have water buffalos i. Wild life.

Pavan K — Google review

Good stop between Phoenix and Sedona. Nice experience. Disappointed with the variety of animals they have. Best part was the Safari tour… you definitely need a minimum of 3 hours to explore.

Pa Y — Google review

Such a cool place! I don't know what I expected going in but it exceeded all of my expectations! In my opinion it's better than the zoo. All of the employees were kind, knowledgeable, and approachable. The animals are well-cared for and treated with love and respect. Lots of family memories made! Highly recommend the safari. Shout out to our bus driver Gary Montana for giving my son a wolf mask on our last bus ride, it made his day!

Holly L — Google review

It is obvious that those who work at the wildlife Park love what they do and really truly care about those animals. Many of the animals are rescues. Listening to the staff, they work hard to help these beautiful animals adapt to their new and caring home. I bought an annual pass so that I can go and spend more time. I wish it wasn't so far away because I'd like more people to have the experience. I wish they had more funding and closer to where I live. They are allowed to live in someone natural environments and you can tell. Unlike in the average zoo, they're not pacing and they don't look stressed. I enjoyed my limited time and I will be back. Be aware that is quite warm in the summer here. If you're going, maybe go early or later in the day or year. Have the ability to walk around your own block at home, so that you have capable legs to go up and down the gentle Hills.

Meg S — Google review

I had an amazing time yesterday! The animals seem well taken care of and you can tell the workers love what they do. I love that general admission includes an African Bush Safari - a 20 minute ride to see giraffes, zebras, and more! I highly recommend this place. I appreciate the option to use a shuttle if you don’t want to walk around everywhere.

Gail C — Google review

I wish we were able to stay longer! I've never been able to get this close to animals before. They seemed extremely healthy and well cared for. The tigers splash was an amazing show and it was all done with happy positive things for the tiger! We will definitely be coming back to do the zip line.

Samantha P — Google review

I have always loved going here but this trip was a little sad as it was my first trip back since the passing of Dean Harrison and the first Tiger Splash show I have watched that he didn't put in and it was very saddening. I am glad that his legacy and love for the animals will carry on though and I will continue to support and love visiting this wonderful place.

Renee S — Google review

🦁We are an Annual Passholder Family🐅(Just renewed!)Aulani in the gift shop is always so super sweet. She welcomes us with Hello/Bye Family (AP)!The entire staff is great and very knowledgeable about all the animals. It's a joy getting to know them all. We love feeding time, and we love to visit "Apache" (a scarlet macaw). Come say hello! We were happy to get him a Xmas gift, and we can't wait until he gets it!See you all soon, family! 🙋🏽‍♀️

Dallas H — Google review

This place! WOW!!! It's literally like being in Africa! The star was extremely knowledgeable and so nice! You can trek they really love the animals there and vice-versa. We had the extreme pleasure of meeting Gary! What a great guy!! If you haven't gone... go!!! We got the expedition package! Fantastic!!!!

Amy S — Google review

Visited this place and had a fantastic experience feeding Temba the Giraffe. Took my 4yr old and 3yr old plus 4 month baby. In my personal opinion, I don’t believe the childrens ticket is worth the price. I would better recommend the world wildlife zoo which has more facilities and entertainment for toddlers. Having said that, it was still a wonderfully insightful experience. I felt the reptile dark tunnel place had too much condensation, so it wasn’t clear enough to see the Boa’s, pythons etc. Additionally, the shows we caught included the creature feature and Tiger Splash.

Z A — Google review

Best experience for big cats ever! Animals are well cared for and the human/ cat interaction is phenomenal! Be prepared to spend the whole day as there is soo much to see and experience. Definitely recommend the VIP tour

Margaret B — Google review

I have lived close to Out of Africa for several years and went for my first time. It is amazing! The number of large Cats, Lions and Tigers is awesome! You don't have to struggle to find them there are several enclosures with both. The rest of the animals are fantastic as well. We got a family pass and will be going again very soon!

Steven S — Google review

Had an awesome time. The bus ride was so fun with the all the animals and giraffes. Then the lion exhibit you get quite close to see the animals. It was amazing. We will be back.

National reserve

Sights & Landmarks

Tuzigoot National Monument is an ancient hilltop pueblo showcasing the ruins of Sinaguan Indians. It features a nearby visitor center with artifacts from that era. Visitors are allowed to hike around the ruins and explore one of the rooms to observe how Native Americans constructed their dwellings with thick ceilings. The trails are well-maintained, picnic areas are available, and the museum provides excellent insights into the history of the area. The gift shop offers a good selection, and staff members are friendly.

Tuzigoot is a well preserved ruins of the Native American people. They allow people to take an approximate 1 mile hike around the ruins, and even walk through one of the rooms. This allows people to see how they native Americans used to build their rooms and how thick the ceilings are. They have also marked some of the areas so you know what it is.The trails are clean, there are several picnic areas, and the museum is superb, well done and very clean. Their store is well stocked for its location, and the staff are extremely nice.I would definitely recommend a visit here if you would like to see a little of our heritage.

Janet S — Google review

The drive is easy and well worth the exploration. It's amazing that this location was discovered and escalated in the 1930's. Fascinating appreciation for the lifestyle once respected and endured at this site.

Desiree R — Google review

Awesome reconstruction of the original pueblo. This National Monument is very cool because you actually get to walk through one of the reconstructed buildings. Not so much a trail as a nice stroll with fantastic views of the surrounding valley. The whole area is paved but some place are quite steep and may be difficult for some to navigate. Definitely worth the stop!

F M — Google review

Definitely worth going to if you're in the area. The historic site is small and you can spend as little as an hour or two. The nearby towns of Cottonwood and Jerome look like fun to explore. This site and Montezuma Castle tell the story of a fascinating culture worth learning about

Eric S — Google review

Really awesome national monument considering how quiet it is and being able to walk inside the dwelling. When we went, we were the only ones there, there is another pathway that leads to the marsh overlook as well. Visitor center had tons of stuff in the gift shop as you can tell this monument doesn’t get as much foot traffic, so definitely check it out!

David B — Google review

Tuzigoot National Monument is an amazing historical site! Cost is $10 for ages 16+ unless you have an Annual Pass used for all National Parks. This site was discovered in the early 1930's. A short 1/3 of a mile hike around the dwellings. The path is steep and narrow in some parts. There is a park ranger at the top to answer any questions one may have. From northern Phoenix to Camp Verde allow 45 minutes to an hour to Tuzigoot, depending on road construction and traffic.

Brandi S — Google review

We visited on Friday morning, which was a perfect time to see this extraordinary monument. The museum offers an excellent orientation to what you see on the short hike. There are examples of pottery, textiles, tools, and other items of daily life dating back to 900 to 1300 CE. I was really taken with the displays about body, painting and jewelry. I found that information really relatable and relevant in today’s world when we think about how we treat our own bodies. Visiting the site was a real treat and I enjoy the opportunity to see the valley from lots of different perspectives. There were workers, repairing and rebuilding walls in real time, which was pretty neat to see.

LS S — Google review

Such an amazing place to spend the afternoon! The history of Tuzigoot is fascinating of course, but the experience is walking those pathways in and around the monument, and especially to the top.The view from the top of the monument extends miles in all directions in the Sedona valleys. Then you realize you are taking in views enjoyed by humans for thousands of years.Incredible experience. Bring walking shoes!

Dustin P — Google review

Visited on recommendation of the visitor information attendant, this was a good and interesting attraction. As well as the ruins there is a hike down to the marsh and a walk around the bluff with native plant identification points. The guide at the top of the ruins was knowledgeable and helpful. If you visit here, the small fee includes entry to Montezuma Castle viewing as well, a short drive away.

Kirrily T — Google review

Incredible Pueblo ruin in the Verde valley. This ruin is easy to get to (we traveled there on the way to Jerome coming from Sedona). There is a really nice little museum/shop. The site is accessible via a walkway and there are limited steps.Would highly recommend. We went with a 2 and 4 year old.

John J — Google review

This was a fun place to explore and was a nice drive from Dead Horse Park. You can get free admission to Montezuma Castle and Montezuma Well with your receipt and vice versa.

Louise L — Google review

Really beautiful and open. You can see Jerome in the distance. The valley is gorgeous. There's a mini museum inside the office as well. With it also being so close to the Verde River, I can see this being a good combo trip with that or Cottonwood

Brian S — Google review

An important place in the history of the indigenous people. The archeological site is a thousand years old. It helped me appreciate the profound history of the land. Full of information and well organized. Beautiful vistas and well worth the visit.

Tom B — Google review

Interesting to see and learn how the natives lived. Beautiful views. Nice road trip. Take the kids and enjoy God's majestic country!

Michelle O — Google review

Very cool, especially to find out the it looked like any other hill in the area until they started digging and found the walls of the dwellings! Wonderfully informative ranger at the top of the main big build, pointed out so many crazy and neat facts and how they lived...access was all ladders!!! Great breeze, nice walk down to the grassland area too.

Maria C — Google review

It is a short walk from the Visitors Center to the ruins. We were lucky during our visit as one of the Rangers was there on the site. He provided an indepth review of what happened here and also how they rebuilt most of the dwellings. It is mostly just the outer walls, but you can imagine how everything would have looked. It is amazing that they left behind so many grinding stones. You will see these at other sites as well. You can actually go inside as some of the upper structure was redone. Once inside, go up some stairs for a great overview of area.

Daniel G — Google review

Beautiful place with the ruins from 1300 . Build on top of the heel provides amazing views of the sounding area. Rangers provide in depth and very interesting information about the people who used to live here.

Kaja S — Google review

National park. Easy climb. Ramps first steep..then stairs to top. Nice views all around. Staff nice and friendly. We are National park members so cost nothing for us to get in. But if you are not there is an entrance fee. Bathroom in pretty good shape too.

Robin K — Google review

The ruins are amazing, because show us the simplicity as well the advance eco-economy., the people that developed here had a very wisely and industrious society. This is a place for learning for kids ,and adults. Everything is nice, clean and very friendly staff.😊

Veronica Z — Google review

A nice National Monument and a sister-site to Montezuma's Castle. Interesting settlement design and structure. Very informative guides, including tribal members. Worth a trip to see the ruins and read the interpretive signs.

Grove A — Google review

Not handicapped friendly. The path is steep even for fit people. Nice small museum, gift shop and bookstore. Rangers are friendly. Bathrooms available. I like that they have plaques naming plants around the visitor's center. Free if you have the National Parks Pass, or it costs $16 per person.

Turney T — Google review

Tuzigoot National Monument was a really great thing to experience. Although unplanned during my trip, I am really glad that I stopped by for a visit. It's a really impressive structure considering all of the effort and history behind it. The walk to the top was very easy, and you even get a chance to pass by inside one of the rooms as you make your way to the top.The gift shop had a lot of really wonderful items! You should visit both Tuzigoot National Monument and Montezuma Castle in the same day if you can since they're tied together.

Jasmine — Google review

Amazing short trip from Sedona. I could track indigenous people’s histories. There was a guide and he explained the history. He knew everything about it and recommended me to watch a video in YouTube. Visiting this place gave me an opportunity to learn the history.

Easy paved walk around the reconstructed pueblo, and couldn't believe we could climb to the second floor to look out on the surroundings. Sad to learn the surrounding land was ruined from slurry of copper mining that boomed the towns of Cottonwood and Jerome, but good to know revegetation is under way.Still can't wrap my brain around how archeologists found and rebuilt this structure from a hill of rubble. Amazing history of the Sinagua people and today's tribes who can trace their stories in these lands. Nice museum inside. The interpretative exhibits do a great job of connecting the storyline with Montezuma Castle and the Flagstaff area national monuments.

State park

Sights & Landmarks

Jerome State Historic Park is a beautiful park featuring an old mansion that now houses a mining museum. The park boasts several outdoor displays and a picnic area for visitors to enjoy. It provides an in-depth history of Jerome and the mining industry in the area, with informative videos and two floors of exhibits. However, children may find it less engaging than adults due to its historical focus. The drive to the park can be winding but offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

What a wonderful place! If you like learning about small town history this is a must. There is a fee to enter of $7 per adult (military discount is excepted).Children would get bored.Just getting here is one heck of a windy drive.

I enjoyed my visit to Jerome St. Hist. Park. The Douglas Mansion and the extensive museum were great. I also liked the Geology expert that was on site. He was able to provide a lot of insight on the mining exhibits.

Raymond E — Google review

The setting of this park is incredible! Views galore! The old mansion has a lot of helpful information about the family and the local area. The house itself is really interesting and I enjoyed seeing the upstairs bathroom with a marble shower. Be sure to visit the old glass bottle display in the kitchen; there are lots of interesting examples of medicine, bottles, and other early glassware. The upstairs is dedicated to those folks who really are interested in mining history and technology. Geology buffs are sure to like the displays and the mineral samples. The mock assayers office was really interesting also. I’ve heard that term before and now I know what it’s all about. The cost of seven dollars per adult is more than reasonable for all you can learn and see at this park. Be sure to leave your parts at home because they are not allowed at the park.

Very thorough history of Jerome and the mining done in the area. Informative video and two floors of exhibits plus outdoor gardens. Spectacular views.

Lots of fun in the hole town! All different local stores unlike anywhere else.. Food is great Kaleidoscope outstanding.& MUCH MORE! The Mining ⛏ museum was great.. It’s entertaining place and historic.😃

Brenda B — Google review

Jerome unfortunately has turned into a tourist trap, where once it was a quaint small town to enjoy the many amenities now everything is way over priced but if you dont mind paying $18 for a burger or just bring a picnic theres a lot to see here and enjoy, walk around and explore.

Sonster B — Google review

Lots of information at this location. The museum is two stories and full of history, pictures and displays of all sorts. Very well organized and put together. Enjoyed this very much with my mother on our road trip.

The history of Jerome is stored at Jerome State Historic Park. The ticket is around $7 to get in. The museum has a lot of pictures, rocks, and historic machines and tools. The view from the parking lot is beautiful. It’s perfect for a day visit. I have been here in summer, and it was hot. I heard it would be beautiful in the winter time so I will definitely try to be here during the winter time.

Fabulous. So much history here on the Western frontier. One of the riches copper mines. Not only copper, zink, gold, silver and lead. This is fabulous to learn about the people that these towns were named after the view up. Here is absolutely incredible. I can see why it attracts Artist around the world.I WOULD RECOMMEND

Jerome is awesome. If in the Sedona area, do yourself a favor and make a trip to jerome for a day or an overnight trip. Love this place so much

David T — Google review

This beautiful old home turned museum is a great step back in time to when this town was flourishing. The amount of artifacts greatly help give a since of how hard the times were. Highly recommend next time your in Jerome.

Cloudy C — Google review

We enjoyed touring the old mining history. They had this amazing trolley car I had to capture the story along with the beauty in the green grass and trees peaking through. The flowers were so gorgeous!

We went to the Douglas Mansion before we left Jerome altogether and I'm so glad we made this visit. We've been coming to Jerome for years and never visited this park area. So thankful we did. There's a video you watch about Jerome and it's history, most things you don't learn even from the locals. The mansion is in great shape and a lot of originals remain. It's definitely worth the few bucks per person to go in!!! Enjoy!!!

Manda M — Google review

I love looking at historical homes with original architecture and furnishings. This mansion has original blueprints on display and you can wander through many of the original rooms. I loved the windows, the views, the original icebox, kitchen, fireplaces, and servants quarters. There have been a few changes but overall intact. We made a quick stop in Jerome and we definitely want to go back for more sightseeing. The guys working in the museum were very friendly.

Katie O — Google review

Jerome is a ghost town, don’t worry about online pictures come and see yourself and explore the energy, especially if you have never seen a miners town. It’s really spooky if you visit in a rainy day in winter in clouds! Maybe museum is not very interesting but experience is. Remember it’s not the destination but the journey.

Pe ( — Google review

This was the second time that we went to Jerome it's a bit of a quirky, artsy little town. Lots of interesting little shops. The history is quite fascinating.

Claire C — Google review

Very cool museum! Definitely will come back to see more! Learned so much about the history of Jerome!

It is a very historic place near Prescott, AZ. The town is perched on a hillside with many interesting museums, stores, restaurants, and bars.

Jerome State Historic Park is a captivating window into Arizona’s rich mining history. The well-preserved artifacts and informative exhibits offer an immersive experience, transporting visitors back in time. The views from the park are simply spectacular, overlooking the picturesque town of Jerome and providing a glimpse into the area’s past. The knowledgeable staff adds depth to the visit, offering fascinating insights into the region’s historical significance. A must-visit for history buffs and anyone fascinated by the stories of the Old West.

Wildlife and safari park

Nature & Parks

Bearizona Wildlife Park is a safari park located off Route 66 in Williams, Arizona. The park consists of a 3 mile drive thru and Fort Beari more. Visitors can see different types of wildlife including wolves, bears, bison, mountain goats and more.

GREAT CLOSE UP VIEWING OF GRIZZLIES in the walking part of the park!!! I'm not sure about other seasons but autumn is an excellent time to visit. I'm looking forward to visiting again in the spring. This is a great place to spend a day. I love that they have an area with picnic tables and allow you to bring in food of your own. This makes a visit possible for larger families which would be pay for 6 or 8 meals on top of admission. They do have food offerings and as I visited with just my daughter we enjoyed funnel cake fries and popcorn after our picnic lunch. The gift shop had some nice caps marked down on clearance which made me very happy. The were busy badgers, roaming raccoons, playful otters; so many fun things to view. The drive through area combined with the walking area seems to be quite unique to me.

Andrew M — Google review

Wow! I can't even begin to describe how much I loved this place! We did the walking part first and it's amazing! They have areas where you can go in and see the animals from really close, like a cave where you can see the grizzly bears really closely through the glass. It's beautiful! The drive-thru part was incredible as well. I saw so many bears and beautiful animals. It really is worth what you pay to enter and the facilities are nice and comfortable, plus the gift shop is great with acceptable prices. Definitely want to go back and I totally recommend going here.

Alexandra B — Google review

This place is AMAZING! Best to go early in the morning when the animals are feeding and most active. Once in we are able to drive through multiple times enabling us to view the animals in different spaces and situations. We also enjoyed the walking tour where we were able to get closer views to many more animals. Make sure you make it to the 10:30 am bear feeding where the rangers share their knowledge and show off the beautiful bears.

Frances K — Google review

The kids loved it. Drove in with a camper van sprinter. Had bikes on the rear, they asked to remove the bikes before entering. The staff are very friendly. They do look like they want to be there. I expected to stay for an hour only because of the size of the zoo but I spent more than 3 hours because the kids were having so much fun.

Luis L — Google review

Had a blast on Friday morning. Not too many cars and we were able to take our time through the park. We got to see all the animals actively roaming and the kids had a blast. The bears were extra playful and the kids were so excited to see them. Highly recommend!

Ryan B — Google review

Love this place. I've gotten to see how the bears interact in the real outdoors! They really scratch themselves on trees and climb them really high and they run super fast! How are they not scared!? This is a very nice place to go see all the animals up close and personal. The kids will love it and so will you!

ninjita01 — Google review

This is our second time here and we just love it. Such a great little park. They have expanded some of the walk through exhibits and added a nice restaurant and gift shop since we were there last. Highly recommend going through the drive through a few times. We got there about 10:30 and some of the animals weren't moving around much. Did the walk through part and did one more drive loop on the way out and the animals were far more active.

Kimberly F — Google review

We had a fantastic day at Bearizona! We started by going through the walk through portion. It was extra special to be able to get so close to the animals. The wildlife shows were fantastic, with lots of information and opportunities to get up close and personal with some of the animals (and dad jokes for days). The drive through portion was so much fun! We went through multiple times. It was like a life sized version of ISpy looking for all the animals. 10/10 would recommend spending a day here.

Emily S — Google review

Such a fun experience! First time visiting so we didn’t really know what to expect. It took less than 10 minutes to get in and they had multiple lanes open. We purchased tickets online prior to arriving. We went late morning and most of the animals were sleeping or laying in the shade. It was still fun to see the different animals. It was nice you could take your time driving through and most people respected that. Parking was easy to find and there were two entrances into the wildlife park. The wildlife park was just right and the bears really stole the show! We could have watched them for hours! There are a few spots around to eat and a cool gift shop. I’d go back for sure and choose a different time of day where the animals may be more active or in a cooler month when the sun isn’t so hot for them!

Nicole R — Google review

One family told us it was okay another hyped it up a bit, but I would have to say it really exceeded our expectations. We plan to go back again when our youngest is better able to appreciate it.The drive through part was great. Some people complain about waiting for slow traffic but the roads are all wide enough to go past someone taking pictures. At one point we thought we might be holding up the line so we just looped back around the buffalo enclosure and took out time to circle around again when there were no cars. The walk through portion was great too. One of the zoo keepers had a little skunk she was showing off to the kids.I will say there was active construction going on in one part of the park but I didn't mind at all it was good to see they were continuing to expand and improve the place. It was also neat to see exactly how the stone work that make up the walls of the enclosures is actually made.We were there on a Friday and it was not crowded at all. Not sure if weekends are busier.

Bouman S — Google review

This place is awesome. We had the best time with both the drive through and walk through parks. Highlights for us include the 5 month old baby arctic foxes, the jaguars, wolves, and all the bears! They have several food and beverage stands, a restaurant and bar. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. Everyone that worked there was super nice and seemed to genuinely love their jobs which always has a positive impact on the overall experience. 🤗

Jessica R — Google review

This was on the list for a while and it was certainly worth the trip. For me this was just an hour and a half drive up, so easy peasy. I arrived later in the day. There was no line. Pulled right in and paid the admission. Be sure to check the website. It is an extra $5 per person on the weekend. It was fun to drive around and see the animals for sure. Haven't done something like this since I was a kid on the east coast. People are kinda of stupid and don't follow the rules sadly. When you see an animal get close to you, you are supposed to keep going. Most people would stop so they could picture right out of their window. Watching folks do this with bears inches away, simply made me cringe. The only bummer for me was that I wanted to walk around and unfortunately I am at the moment handicapped as I have hip issues. So I did not get to do the walking tour.

Eddie S — Google review

Amazing safari style animal park. Animals are well kept, and they have a big territory to roam around. We drove thru 2 times and got to see more animals than the first time. Take your time, and a lot to see there. There are restaurants, gift shops, clean restrooms, and walk through zoo as well. Definitely recommend it and will return.

Suzy — Google review

It was nice to see many of the animals just roaming and not caged. Some are in enclosures because I'm sure they need to be. Of course, like most tourist areas, they make you walk through the gift shop in order to see all the animals. I'm not a fan of this because not everyone can afford to buy their kids items from the gift store. I do not have kids, just my 2 cents as a human.

Mags B — Google review

This was the coolest up close experience. I thought I would be scared but the excitement is so much better. The animals are very calm and present so that you can see them as you drive through. The park you can walk through has additional animals that are not shy. Really fun place for the whole family. I LOVED the restaurant setup. Really big gift shop for souvenirs.

M. — Google review

Bearizona is awesome! Definitely recommend a visit here. We have been here multiple times, and each time is such a fun, cool, new experience. The drive-through portion is worth the trip alone. We have had bear, wolves, buffalo, and reindeer all be within a few feet of our car! It's so cool! You can go through it as fast or as slow as you want, so there is no need to feel pressured by a line of cars. The walking portion is fun as well! Multiple habitats to observe. A petting enclosure. Shows throughout the day. Live music/entertainment. Would highly recommend the otter feeding event where you can feed the otters. It's so much fun! There is a snack shop and restaurant, along with multiple food vendors and drink stands (yes, including adult drinks to walk around with). Large gift shop as well! Don't forget about the elk and jaguar habitats - you have to go through the gift shop to see them.

T S — Google review

The place is beautiful! The drive around isn't as long as I expected, but either way, it's still a decent length, and you can go at your own pace. The wildlife they had available for viewing in this portion was interesting, saw a bear taking a bath, saw some gorgeous wolves, some big horns, and some little bears. I'm sure kids would love this portion. Once you got to the area where you walk around, there were refreshments, alcohol, cute otters, porcupines, javelina's, and bobcats. There were other animals as well, and the entire area was just beautiful. There were a lot of great spots for pictures. It's definitely a fun place for a couple or family alike. The gift shop was very large and had a bunch of cute gifts and most of them very affordable. All the stuff I interacted with was very friendly. We passed by it on our way to Vegas and decided to stop by on our way back. I do not regret that decision, and you will not either!

Leo H — Google review

What a beautiful place! The enclosures are amazing. All the animals look happy and healthy. Every year they are doing more and more improvements and always looking to improve. The food is great, the beer is great! I don't have any complaints visiting besides we spend too much at the gift shop. Also wish the amazing train set was easier to see in the gift shop. It's a work of art.

Nicole A — Google review

Took my grandson here yesterday! We had so much fun! We arrived as soon as they opened so we were able to see every single animal on the ride and walk around! They were all out eating! We absolutely will be returning! The weather was BEAUTIFUL!

Brandee T — Google review

I was very skeptical, but this place was way better than expected. The drive through part of the animal exhibit was really impressive, with elk and wolves and bears that would walk right up next to your car. Then the traditional "zoo" part of the park was also very well done, and the food at the restaurant was actually surprisingly good. Easy drive from the south rim of the Grand Canyon, if you realize (as we did) that it wouldn't entertain young kids as long as we thought a giant natural wonder would.

Brian B — Google review

Bearizona was AMAZING! It was so cool to drive through the park and have the animals come up to your car. Staff made sure that the areas you had to have your windows up, that windows were up and everyone was kept safe. I would highly recommend anyone of any age going here. They also have a nice walk through zoo that looks like they’re still working on adding exhibits to. Cost was $30/person and well worth it!

Solina K — Google review

What a wonderful place! My family and I visited after seeing the Grand Canyon and we just had the most wonderful time. We did the wildlife drive 3 times.. all of the animals are so healthy and curious! We saw so much. The gift shop is amazing and the food is great! One of the best experiences I’ve ever had traveling. All of the staff are so nice too!

Cassandra R — Google review

We did a family trip to Bearizona for my granddaughters 4th birthday. The drive up there was absolutely beautiful and took us back to Christmas 🎄 Bearizona doesn't have any coupons or savings unless you come during the week. Price is a tab bit high on the weekend. So, we made every penny count. We drove around the park multiple times, and we saw more animal activity towards the afternoon. (Make sure to gas up before you get to Bearizona) We walked around to see every single animal (which is not a lot). We looked around through the gift shop, which is big and has lots of cool stuff. We didn't eat at the restaurant that I saw on IG. It does have nice scenery. (Maybe next time.) We left wet since we were having snow ❄️ fights as we walked through the park. Some people were annoyed, but we were having fun. We bought some hot chocolate as we called it quits and drove around one last time. Once you leave the park, you can't reenter. I recommend you try it at least once. This was my second time. Please let me know what you think?

Neomi R — Google review

This place is top tier family fun. The animals are so well taken care of and seem to really love their staff members. Make sure to catch all the keeper shows and feedings. The gift shop is gigantic and full of anything you could think of to have as a souvenir. Next time I’m in Arizona definitely going back ❤️ would give this place 10 stars if possible!

Jen G — Google review

Unfortunately I have major buyers remorse. This place is so expensive! I asked the cashier if she thought it was worth it and she said of course she was biased. So we paid $150.00 for 4 of us. Our 3 year old was free. For that price I was expecting so much more.I do want to say that the park is beautiful. It is really well done in my opinion as far as atmosphere goes. However, we hardly saw any animals. The drive was so boring to our kids because they could not see anything. We did finally see a couple of bears sleeping and some bison eating hay.We stopped and did the walk through. Same story. All the animals were hiding in their logs, caves, holes, etc. Or just sleeping. We did see the big turkey. But we have wild turkeys roam around our town all of the time...so not a great surprise to see. I know the owners can't make the animals perform or do tricks or whatever but we were just so bummed. I saw all the reviews of how great it was...but we were not so lucky.I will never go back and frankly I think they are charging way too much for the experience we had. We visited the Fort Worth Zoo last week for half the cost and got to see hundreds of animals and had the beat time. Honestly, I would like a refund.

Laura N — Google review

A bit pricey but I gotta say I think we went at the best time which was late afternoon (as stated on the website). The bears were very active and were very close to the road and eating their meals. There weren't a lot of cars so that was nice while driving around. There was a nice gift shop and the walking area was cool too. I do think it would quickly get expensive for a family. For 2 adults we paid almost $80. I just hope that means the animals are getting quality care!

rubymorales — Google review

Beautiful clean park!Loved driving through the park and seeing the bears/wolves up close, truly a unique experience. The drive through allows you to have the animals go right by your car.The people there are friendly and the encloses are well kept.

Simmy V — Google review

This was a fun day! Admission tickets pay for the ride through and the walk through; and you can do the walk through and drive through as many times as you want. My family got there at 9 when they opened so animals were active and some were not. So then we did the walk through and had lunch. We did one last ride through and the animals that were not active were now active. It was fun the kids had a blast looking out the car window and running around.

Jasmin A — Google review

We had a great day here and it was a great value for the cost. You can do the drive around tour as many times as you like while in the park and there are lots of animals to see that way. The enclosures are spacious and well kept. The staff host special guest shows where they teach you about the animals that live in the park. We did the drive through once, had lunch at the Canyonlands restaurant and enjoyed a leisurely walk through. We spent around 3.5 hours here. If you go, take your time and enjoy the company of beautiful wild animals.

Amanda D — Google review

Definitely a nice place to visit with the kids. The drive in portion lives up to expectations; we had many close ups with bears, wolves, and bison. The walk-in exhibits were well maintained, and every animal is easily viewable and active, including getting to see 2 grizzlies wrestling around. The jaguars are very interactive with guests! We will absolutely be returning.

Tyler M — Google review

Too expensive for the experience. $130 for my husband, me, and our two grandchildren. The drive-through section was fairly short, and we didn't see that many animals. The walk around section is better with more to see. There is a restaurant on site and plenty of beautiful Pine Trees. The petting zoo was nice. The coolest part was seeing the bears up in the trees- I was amazed at how far up they could climb! There are gift shops as well. We had fun & I liked Beararizona- I just felt it was overpriced.

The P — Google review

Wonderful experience! The walk through part is better than the drive through. We happened to time it so the grizzly bears inside were being fed their fruits and veggies. The staff let the crowd throw some food to the bears and then had a talk about them. You can tell the staff really take care of the animals. Definitely drive through a second time and go later in the day. We arrived at 1:30 pm, drove through, did the walk through, gift shop, and then drove through a second time and left at 4:30 pm.

Tristen H — Google review

This is a neat drive through animal adventure as well as a walk through animal adventure. I went on a Sunday. I feel $35 is a bit steep for an adult. It's kind of small and I expected more animals for the price. The drive section can be frustrating when it's busy as people just stop for a very long time to take photos. As well as the bear loops getting locked in from too much traffic and needing to merge back in just to get past. The exhibits were nice, and I enjoyed reading all the info. Only rating 4* because of the difficulties getting through the driving portion in a timely manner (they should limit the amount of cars going through at a time), the price, and the overall size. I enjoyed tossing a fish into the otters. They have a large gift shop as well as a restaurant and bar. They have a coffee stand outside as well. There was another shop near the entrance, but the music was so loud and overstimulating that I walked in and walked right back out. It's nice you can go through the drive multiple times.

Kae S — Google review

We had been told that this was a place to go. There are two areas. One to drive through and another to walk. We drove through a very well-built facility with natural living space for several species of animals. This seemed like a place that felt like the people really cared about the animals.

Lemmie K — Google review

A really fun place for the family to go to and see the wildlife there. You basically have two options, one, you can drive around in your own vehicle through a guided path to see all the animals, or you can do the walking tour to see the other animals in the zoo. Definitely worth coming with the kids. When driving though be careful not to puncture your tires. We found a screw in our tire just after we finished the driving tour, but luckily there was a maintenance crew onsite to help us inflate our tires so we could go to the nearest tire repair shop to get it patched. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. Definitely a place you have to visit if you are in Williams, AZ. ❤️

Alexander K — Google review

This place is Amazing! Tons of animals in the drive thru safari part from bears, bison, wolfs, and big horn. The walk in part of the park is like a zoo with better enclosures for the animals than most major zoos I have been to. They have restaurants and bars and even snack and coffee stands in the park. This place is expanding every year. I recommend also visiting the Canyon Coaster and route 66 part of Williams which are all within the general area of Bearizona!

Mike R — Google review

This is always a wonderful idea. I haven't been for a few years and the kids haven't been since they were too little to remember, so it was a great option for spring break. We got there in the afternoon in time to see them feeding the grizzly bears, and catch the wild show. Then we did the drive through and they'd just fed the bears so we saw all those fuzzy wuzzies. Definitely a place to visit again and again!

Mazanec M — Google review

Such a fun place for kids and adults! We drove through twice than walked the mini zoo, had lunch and visited the gift shop. Weather was perfect and all the animals were out. White Bison, Bighorn Sheep, otters playing to Bears roaming the grounds was amazing.

The Planes of Fame Air Museum in Arizona offers a unique experience for aviation enthusiasts. Visitors can see a variety of aircraft up close, including ones with personal significance like those from specific military squadrons. The tram tour provides informative insights about each aircraft, and visitors can also explore further on foot. It's a great place to visit with family and friends who share an interest in aviation history.

Officially closed, Thank God we met Jeff outside and with Larry, he gave us a great tour. They let us go into several planes and had patience for all of our questions. Highly advised. They plan on opening it up for official tours starting this summer.(To note, it's a great way to break up your drive from Flagstaff to the Grand canyon)

Went today, it says closed but Mike saw us taking pictures outside and was nice enough to let us in and give us the tour. They give tours but plan to open in full in the summer. Great place!

GAIL G — Google review

My first time to the planes of Fame Museum in Arizona. Saw quite a few aircraft that I've never seen up close before. But I never expected to see a aircraft with 3rd Marine Air Wing markings where I was stationed right next to a A7 Corsair with tail markings from my brother's Squadron in China Lake. What a coincidence to have two aircraft side by side one for my brother's Squadron one from my Squadron when we were in the service 30 years ago. Take the tram tour as the guys are very helpful and informational on every aircraft that we asked about. And if you see one that catches your eye after you get off the tram you can walk over to it for closer inspection. I cannot wait to take my grandkids there along with my brother and show him the two aircraft sitting side-by-side from our squadrons.

Singing along with musicians, participants in an enactment of an Old West train robbery can enjoy the antics of western characters while travelling to one of the world's true wonders.

I could not recommend this enough. Everyone we talked to was very friendly with great recommendations. The cowboy performance was a delight, even for adults. We ended up missing the train (be aware they are prompt and you cannot be even 1 minute late), but they worked with us and rescheduled us for the next day (no addtl. cost) and we stayed in the Railway Hotel for the night. You get the perfect amount of time to explore the canyon (we chose to explore ourselves and did not pay for the bus tour). They even provided maps, walked us through them, answered questions, and ensured everyone knew the best places to spend time before we arrived at the canyon. Would highlight recommend the dome seating - it gives you a great view, it has less seating so is quieter, free snacks and water/sodas, friendly service, cheap alcoholic drinks for those wanting to order, and live music to pass the time. This was a great relaxing way to see the grand canyon and I would definitely recommend this. The hotel itself was nice with free parking, a pool (hot tub was under maintenance), and Williams was a cute town to explore with lots of shops, restaurants, and some bars.

We bought the travel package for a 2 night stay and train tickets to the grand canyon. The workers at the front desk were very nice and brought up extra bedding immediately when we asked for more. The train depot workers were so nice and made the whole experience easy. The hotel is slightly out dated but still SO worth the price! I would recommend to everyone! Best way to experience the Grand Canyon!

I stayed in this hotel based on reviews and photos on their website. I’m sure there are cheaper hotels out there that are much closer to the Grand Canyon. This hotel is about 53 miles to the Grand Canyon, which also threw me off when I google search. I was looking for a hotel closest to the Grand Canyon. I didn’t have prior reservation, so I had to call the front desk. Initially, I was told there’s a small patio overlooking the mountain, so I booked the suite for $450/night thinking this will be better than the Hilton or Marriott where I normally stay. When I got here, I thought I came to the wrong address. But because it was already late, I didn’t have a choice but to check in. I reserved the room for two nights, but when I saw the room, it was even more devastating. I was told the check in time was 3pm, but when I checked in, I had to wait till almost 4pm. Finding your room is like going through a maze. The carpet, walls and the doors looks like they are from the 70s. The sofa sleeper, carpet bathrooms, walls, curtains, furniture, bathroom are all very much dated, not well kept and need a good cleaning and sanitizing. This is definitely a one-star motel, not a 3 star hotel. If it wasn’t already late, I would have not stayed the night, so I turned around and cancelled the second night. I immediately returned to the front desk and canceled the second night. If it wasn’t freezing and I was already from the four-hour drive, I would turned around left. The front desk told me that they have a no cancellation policy within 72 hours. But, I told them that no one told me that when I called the front desk the same day I checked in. My receipt and confirmation didn’t say anything about the 72 hour policy. I think everything about the website is misleading and misrepresentation. In the end, they charged for one night for $435 with the military discount. It would have been $511 per night. This is a total rip off. I don’t know how anyone could give a good review of this place. The company must have paid those people or they are bots. For those looking for a comfortable and clean place, go elsewhere. The pictures may not reflect the stain on the couch and marks on the wall. while there is a shower curtain in the bathroom, there was nothing else that keeps the water from flowing in the whole bathroom. So, the whole bathroom is wet and slippery.

We had a nice 2 day stay with one day of taking the train to the Grand Canyon and back. Rooms are very nice but nothing very special. Comfortable and clean and nicely kept. Some things appear to be pretty new so I suspect it has been renovated not too long in the past. Overall I would have to say I would come here again.

The lobby is beautiful, as are the rooms at first glance. The curtains were ripped to shreds and the paint was peeling off of most walls in the restroom. Nice pool area with a large hot tub. Could use a size improvement with the amount of people the hotel can accommodate. We ate at the Fred Harvey for dinner and breakfast. It was good, not 5 stars or anything but better than a golden corral. The breakfast was nice and included an omelet station. The dinner didn't have much variety and the carving station meat was very dry and cold. Dinner did include a pasta station. The building where you get the train tickets and meal vouchers had a large giftshop and the staff had great customer service. The train is comfortable and the staff is very knowledgeable. Cafe Car is very pricey (even for it being a tourist attraction). Great views on the way to the Grand Canyon.

Ayden H — Google review

The lobby really won me over at this hotel. Big, beautiful hearth, large leather couches, and a warm and cozy feel. What made me give less stars was the service. Our room had tagging on the window screen which was so depressing after walking in with kids and paying nearly $300. I had to complain about it twice before they removed the screen a day later. What really stood out to me was from the reception desk to the gift shop employee to the buffet staff, ever worker there looked and acted miserable. This does not include the Polar Express experience, which had great service. The hotel employees need to understand what “service with a smile” is and how it means a lot to those staying there. Would return, with hopes of a more pleasant staff.

Love all the grand canyon paintings, a suitable hotel for the town. Everyone is very friendly. Free coffee in the lobby in the morning!I don't know if it was just our room, but the hot and cold were backwards in our shower. We figured it out but there was a moment of "oh no, no hot water" 😂

I spent 2 nights at the Railway Hotel in Williams with a train ride to the Grand Canyon. My family and I found the experience most rewarding. The Hotel was very nice and the food at the Harvey Buffet was very enjoyable. We had first class seats on the train and were able to play cards as the northbound excursion was quite rainy. The Canyon was, of course, spectacular as soon as the weather improved. We had wonderful entertainment on the train ride, with snacks and beverages available. The staff was amazingly friendly.A most enjoyable experience.

Burnie A — Google review

Purchased the three night package traveling to the Grand Canyon. The hotel itself has been refurbished and the rooms look like a modern hotel. Clean and well taken care of. They make it so easy to get all your luggage to and from the Canyon as you ride the train. I would definitely stay here and purchase another package if we come back to the Grand Canyon. Kids and adults both had a great time.

Matthew C — Google review

The hotel lobby felt very ...100 years ago... with its huge fireplace roaring, giant chandelier and open lobby. The wood moldings everywhere captured the essence of what it must have felt like in olden times. The large paintings of the Canyon and the Remington bronzes were impressive. The old fashioned, imported bar was delightful. Our room was clean, modern and the bathroom was way beyond most standard, better chain hotels. All staff were exemplary! We'll be back soon. Keep up your high standards. Memorable!

Linda H — Google review

We loved this hotel. Quite modern and comfortable, yet somehow historical. The train station and railway itself were responsible in large part for that. But the hotel itself has an old-school feel. A good vibe. For a railroad buff like me, the hotel and train package were on my bucket list. Our room was large and immaculate. After our experience with a hotel in the Grand Canyon it was very pleasant surprise.

Rodger B — Google review

We didn’t stay at the hotel but we rode the train to the Grand Canyon and it was super awesome! The cowboys did a great job! Our cart attendant on the train was absolutely amazing. I think her name was Jane. The train had a little cafe and it was super nice! Will be back!

Room were standard rooms but services were great. One thing though, fitness room doesn’t open until 7 so it was hard to get a morning workout in without missing the morning luggage deadline. We stayed two days, one night in Williams and another night in the Grand Canyon. Transition were as smooth as it can be, our luggage were waiting for us in the room and when we got out of train. The scenery was okay but there were food and fun activities on the train. Overall we really enjoyed the trip! Thanks!

We stayed at the RV park. It was fantastic. The train ride exceeded our expectations! Everyone on the train the entire staff was extremely friendly, very bubbly, tons of knowledge about the area, and Arizona, just such a great experience. I’m in Arizona native and can’t believe I waited so long to experience the Williams, Grand Canyon, Railroad! It’s a must Do on your list!

Tina T — Google review

This is our 3rd time staying at the RV park. The Grand Canyon Railway Park has full hook ups, bathroom/showers, a laundry facility, a small gift shop and a boarding facility. You also have access to the hotel pool. The whole park including the bathrooms/showers are kept clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We will definitely keep coming back!

C K — Google review

The web site does not do it real justice, it’s actually much nicer. I absolutely loved our stay. It started with our reservations, the level of service was unlike anything I have ever experienced. The front counter ladies were warm and It felt like coming home, instead of checking into a hotel. The place was immaculate and very clean. The fireplace in the lobby felt more like a home than in a large greeting area. The grounds were very clean and very well managed. They had just started to put up Christmas decorations so it was magical for us.

Beautiful hotel! Super easy check-in very informative! Took my boy for our first train ride! He's 12 so he definitely had a blast! Our car hostess on the train Ms. Sheryl was the absolute best!! And because of her she allowed me to forget the discrimination my son and I got at the Fred Harvey restaurant! So that was a huge plus!!

Sara H — Google review

Our family of five stayed three nights while visiting the Grand Canyon and we highly recommend the hotel as a great option while in the area. Rooms and facilities in general are great! It's an hour away from the Grand Canyon but located just one block away from Williams' main street which offers several high quality dining and shopping options. I was able to see hotels at the Grand Canyon park and their rates, and all in all I'm happy we stayed here!

Maria A — Google review

We tried to stay here because the reviews were good but the first room we were in had cigarette butts on the window sill and the second had a horrible smell. The beds were as hard as the floor and the pillows were super flat. The food at the restaurant was basically like cafeteria food. That being said the employees were all super kind and tried their best to be helpful. The girl at the counter gave us a full refund and we were able to get a hotel elsewhere.

Katelyn E — Google review

I will say absolutely must on doing the train to the Grand Canyon. The entire staff that works on the train was amazing and so was that experience. However the hotel was not very good! For how expensive it is their staff was very UNHELPFUL they closed the pool due to some “cleaning emergency” and didn’t inform us guest we had to pay to go to a community pool, the hotel is huge and we got no direction on where our room was and literally had to walk all over to find the room. The labeling of where the rooms are located are terrible. Everything else was great however we will not be staying at the hotel again

Chelsea M — Google review

We chose to visit the Grand Canyon by rail to avoid car rental and driving/parking. Flight from South Carolina to Flagstaff airport then van transport to railway hotel. Train to the canyon, 3 nights, then return trip the same in reverse. Hotel was laid out a bit like a maze, just carefully follow the signage to your room number. Train ride was stress free and comfortable. Return train ride is more entertaining. We found the AZ staff and locals entertaining, genuine, and friendly the entire time.

OutdoorWood — Google review

Rooms means RV sites on this review…Outstanding facility. Immaculately clean. RV sites are level, long enough for large RV and tow car. Power, water & sewer services - no issues.Centrally located to everything in Williams, and if you are using the Grand Canyon Railway it’s only a 5 minute walk. RV site also allows you to use the main hotel pool & hot tib.

Very nice, clean, quiet, comfortable, and beautiful hotel. The package deal for the train ride to Grand Canyon, enterence to the South Rim, hotel stay, and food is a really great deal. It is well worth the cost and so much fun. The train ride is packed with information, humor, and beautiful views and really fun. The entertainment before and on the trip back and forth is worth it. Grand Canyon South Rim is breathtaking. The buffet dinner wasn't that good. The buffet breakfast was great.

Melissa S — Google review

We stayed at the RV park. It is real nice. Very clean, with really nice facilities. You can walk to the train station, or to restaurants from the RV park or the hotel. The train ride to the canyon was great. They have food, beverages, and entertainment on the train both going to and coming from the canyon.

Jeff M — Google review

I went with my family for the Polar Express, and we all loved it. The rooms were very nice and the buffet style restaurant was great. The line for the restaurant was quite long, but once we got in, we had a great waiter, and all of the food tasted great. The train experience was really fun (even though the hot chocolate was warned), and the beds were very clean. They even had cold water in the lobby.

Morrowstalker — Google review

We stayed in the RV park and our friends had a suite at the hotel. We really enjoyed the RV park. Spaces were easily accessible, clean, and well maintained. The laundry was reasonably priced, bathrooms were clean, and the park was very child friendly. The pool was heated (albeit a little chilly still) and the hot tub was hot. RV park guests get a key card to access the pool and other amenities of the hotel. We did the train to the South Rim with our young kids (3 and 18 months) and had a really good time. Definitely would recommend and would do again.

We booked a 2 night stay at the RV park. It was perfect. The amenities were wonderful, nice showers, laundry room; a short walk to the train depot. As for our train experience it was fabulous. Words can’t express how amazing our train car attendant, Alicia was. She has a brilliant spirit and smile. She made everyone on the train feel like we’ve known her forever. She shared stories of her family and experiences with the company. Her love for her family & company shined through. The musicians, robbers, Marshall and western show was fantastic.Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back again.

Great price and rooms. The property was clean and cozy. Right next to the train you take to the Grand Canyon, so extent convenient. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Pool is heated and has a Jacuzzi. Fitness room was decent.

We LOVED Grand Canyon Railway RV park. We stopped here on our way back to Colorado and were so surprised by all the amenities. You can use the GCR Hotel fitness center, game room and pool. Plus there’s laundry and showers (stocked with shampoo, conditioner & body wash in case you forget yours). The location was fantastic, a short walk and you’re in downtown Williams with plenty of places to eat and enjoy the nostalgic Route 66 vibe. We took the train to the Grand Canyon which was SO worth it. Highly recommend 👍

anybody going on the grand canyon railroad train. They have a really nice package that includes the Hotel , Dinner & Breakfast at the adjacent restaurant as well as the train ride. Price for my husband and me and our 2 grandchildren was about $650. One of the things that I really liked was everything is in one place. The depot, the restaurant and the hotel are all in one convenient location, so you don't have to drive from one place to another. It was snowing when we arrived yesterday, so this was really a plus for us. The hotel is a little vintage, but that's part of the charm. They have a beautiful huge fireplace in the lobby and nice comfortable couches. There is a nice indoor pool with a Jacuzzi. Rooms are comfortable. There are small refrigerators and a microwave, which is nice. Beds are very comfortable. The hotel is 2 stories tall. Parking is free, and lot is well lit. The hotel is very family oriented, but they do have a nice bar/lounge too. We had a fabulous time!

What I liked: Awesome pool and hot tub. Really nice play-ground for the kids. Beautiful location. The buffet had a toy train that went all the way around the dining room. The kids loved that. The live music on the train was awesome. The time gap between arrival and departure at the Grand canyon was good for littles ones. What I didn't like: Very expensive for not very high quality rooms. The game room is like an arcade, so we didn't even take the kids in there. I didn't add dinner to my package because I was hoping there were other food options other than paying for a full-price buffet for a 2-year. We ended up having to go to the buffet there anyway and it cost us $110 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Staff seemed kind of annoyed with me for really minor questions (like how do we access the pool?). It was a very limited selection of food and not worth the money because of the ages of my kids. I wouldn't recommend the train ride for little ones; it was too long for my 2-year-old.

Liza D — Google review

The hotel rooms are dated. Parking is difficult. The buffet is overpriced (+$30). The pasta station was exceptional and the only thing on the buffet that was remarkable. The restaurant was short staffed, but the waiters were working hard to satisfy customers. The entertainment in the dining area was enjoyable. It snowed our last night there leaving ice on the walkways and stairs. No attempt was made to mitigate the situation. Negligent and little concern for customers.

My family and I embarked on a remarkable adventure with the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel, and it truly was an experience that exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were swept into a world of wonder, with the historic charm of the railway and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere of the hotel setting the stage for a memorable trip. The train ride to the Grand Canyon was the highlight of our visit. Gazing out of the dome car, we were treated to panoramic views of the breathtaking landscapes, a serene and majestic sight that left us in awe. The journey was not only a feast for the eyes but also a step back in time, enhanced by the entertaining and informative narratives provided by the staff. Their enthusiasm for sharing the history and beauty of the area added a rich layer to our adventure. Our accommodations at the hotel were comfortable and inviting, offering a peaceful retreat after a day filled with exploration. The friendly and attentive hotel/train staff made us feel right at home, ensuring that our stay and ride was pleasant and worry-free.However, our dining experiences at the nearby Fred Harvey Restaurant left something to be desired. Our first visit for dinner was met with a selection that was somewhat picked over, despite arriving an hour before closing. The breakfast the following morning, while offering better variety, didn't quite hit the mark in terms of flavor, although the service remained impeccable, with friendly staff making every effort to provide a welcoming dining experience. Giving it another chance for dinner, we found the situation unchanged and decided to explore other dining options in the charming town of Williams, which did not disappoint.Despite the dining hiccups at the Fred Harvey Restaurant, our overall experience with the Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel was unforgettable. The magic of the train ride, the beauty of the Grand Canyon, and the warmth of the hotel staff far outweighed our dining experiences. For those looking to capture the essence of the Grand Canyon in a unique and enchanting way, this is a journey not to be missed. Just a tip for future travelers: consider exploring some local eateries in Williams for a more consistent dining experience.

Bodies of Water

Located in Prescott, Watson Lake is a picturesque body of water with dark blue waters and impressive granite rock formations. There are many outdoor activities available for visitors to enjoy, such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing, hiking, and camping.

This was a very beautiful lake. You cannot swim however due to high levels of mercury in the water. There is a nice hike that you can do around the lake, it can get quite rugged at times, and you will have to climb over a few boulders along the way, but it is a fun and challenging hike! The rock formations around the lake are spectacular, and make the lake quite unique. You can kayak in the lake and enjoy the view. The lake is held up by a dam on the north side of the lake. If you happen to be in the area, I recommend checking this place out. It is a nice place to get views, and a wonderful place for a quick hike. This place is great for everyone! And it only costs around $3 to get in when we went there!

Beautiful lake with a hiking trail. I am lucky to come here in winter so there is reflection of both ice and rock.

Great Lake and Park outside of Prescott, AZ. Great trails that run the perimeter of the lake. Great views on the trail. Peaceful no wake lake. Perfect spot to kayak. The surrounding park has picnic areas, playgrounds and open fields to play. Clean bathrooms. A well maintained park. $3 for day visit.

Hi y'all, Watson lake park is the best place to go to experience the lake from a kayak or conoes perspective. You can rent kayaks right on the shoreline there Absolutely awesome! This particular review is regarding the scenic overlook parking area approximately a 1/2 mile north of Prescott lakes parkway on highway 89.From this area you're able to walk to the kayak rental area and access the Peavine trail without having to pay the 3 dollar entrance fee.But the main draw for me is the photo opportunities that are possible without ever having to leave your car.But the conditions have to be just right. The following photos I took were on a rainy day in February. It seems like the sun bouncing off the clouds on to the Dells lining Watson lake at sunset produces this affect. If you're into that try to time your trip when it's more likely to be cloudy in the area...of if you want to save a few bucks; well there you go.

We recently visited Watson Lake on our way home and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The lake was beautiful, the rock formations were brilliant, and we had a great time paddle boarding. We will definitely be visiting again. As soon as we arrived at Watson Lake, we were struck by its beauty. The lake was crystal clear and surrounded by stunning rock formations. It was the perfect spot for a day of paddle boarding. We had a great time exploring the lake on our paddle boards. The water was calm and the scenery was breathtaking. The rock formations were particularly impressive, with towering cliffs and unique shapes. We enjoyed paddling around and taking in the views. But the beauty of the lake and the rock formations wasn't the only highlight of our visit. We also appreciated the convenience of the facilities at Watson Lake. There was plenty of parking and the rental process was easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great day on the water.Overall, I am extremely impressed with Watson Lake and will definitely be returning for more paddling adventures in the future. If you're a fan of paddle boarding or just want to enjoy the beauty of nature, I highly recommend giving Watson Lake a try. It's sure to become one of your new favorites!

Anna T — Google review

We had 25 of us kayaking and paddle boarding. The lake is a good size. There's a bunch of trees at one end and a couple of big random shade trees. Easy in & out from North or south end and a couple of ramadas around to stop for a break as well.

Tony B — Google review

Beautiful place to spend some time relaxing. You can rent a kayak and go kayaking in the lake just no swimming. View from up top was beautiful and the place was not that crowded. Best time to visit the lake is early morning or later in the evening. There is an entry fee for day time entry and for overnight camping. There is a designated area for the camping and recreational activities. Plenty of parking so no issue there. Hike around the lake is easy to moderate (depending on the hikers capacity) but a perfectly tracked way with easy walk. So, Enjoy !!!

Dinesh — Google review

Absolutely stunning. Cannot swim in water due to high mercury I believe but enjoyed walking around and taking in the view. You can also see a decent amount of different birds.

Barbara D — Google review

A beautiful, short hike close to downtown! The rocks surrounding the lake are breath-taking. I started from the North shore, near the boat ramp and went clockwise. Instead of planning this ahead of time like I normally do, I decided to just wing it and go as far as I had time for and turned around whenever I needed to.The hike is somewhat technical, there are parts where you have to climb up a little. I highly recommend wearing a good pair of grippy trail/hiking shoes to help you get better hold on the rocks. What's great about the trails here are they are marked with white dots, so as long as you're following the white dots, you won't stray off the trails and get yourself lost (even though you might veer off to a different trail). In about a mile in or so, you'd come across a man-made little waterfall!Entrance/parking is $3 for an all-day pass. Check the website for hours because hours vary depending on season.

Beautiful man made lake. The rock formations with the surrounding water makes for some beautiful views and photography. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, some nice fun trails. There’s also some picnic areas and nice clean bathrooms. I also saw they have a frisbee golf course. Only $2 to get into the park, which is a great deal. I’d highly recommend for fishing, hiking, kayaking (they have rentals onsite) picnics, family gatherings, etc. I also saw a kids playground. Great place to check out if you’re in Prescott!

Moonlight Kayacking on may 23, 2024.Wow amazing time. Went in a small group. There was someone playing meditation music and the moon coming up was incredibly amazing to see nighttime fall and have the world's largest nightlight in the sky of Gods Creation! It brings healing, soothing comfort, tranquility and quiets the distractions of the world escaping to watson lake! We definitely gonna do this often!

This lake and the surroundings are gorgeous, unique, and offer lots of activities. There are several hiking trails around and among the rocks. Just follow the white dots painted on the rocks along the trails. The view is spectacular. There are kayak rentals available, small sailboats, or you can bring your own. The entrance fee is $3 per car. There is a small playground for kids, benches all around the lake, and a grassy area to bring your blanket and have a picnic on. It's definitely one of my favorite spots in Arizona. Don't miss it if you're in the Prescott area.

Beautiful area with great scrambling trails. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky but we got caught in a thunderstorm at the dam. There is nowhere to take shelter so we got soaked but there were cool waterfalls that emerged from everywhere.

Ian M — Google review

A favorite for the beautiful lake views and scenery with diverse hiking trails (that aren't just dirt paths) and even waterfalls!Hike around the lake down to the other side of the dam took about an hour on the Watson Lake and Flume Trail.Trail includes areas which require some minor climbing.Large open green in park area provides perfect opportunity for field games. There is also a playground and restrooms as well as gazebos and picnic tables scattered about park.As others mentioned - entry is free on Wednesdays, otherwise $6/ vehicle.Only negative comment is that the stench coming off the lake, while at water level and down wind, was not pleasant, but odor was no longer detectable once climbing.

Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop in Seligman is a must-visit for anyone interested in the history of Route 66. Run by the Delgadillo family, who played a key role in preserving and promoting the iconic highway, this shop offers a unique experience filled with history and Americana. Visitors can expect a warm welcome from the friendly owners and explore a wide range of USA-made souvenirs and memorabilia.

This is a big piece of American history and you MUST stop here! We decided to take the iconic route 66 from Vegas all the way to the Grand Canyon and what a journey it was. This place was awesome and we learned so much how this shop and the owner some long years ago started a coalition to keep the route relevant for travelers. We had the pleasure of meeting Carly who was absolutely terrific. She talked to us for about 20 mins on everything involving the history of the route, what other sites to see and just gave us the all around genuine experience we were hoping for. Shes incredible this shop is incredible and the whole route is incredible. Don’t be a stranger come check this place out!

Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop is one of our favorite places to shop for souvenirs on Route 66. The store is run by the relatives of Angel Delgadillo. We had a long conversation with them about their father and the history of the store, Seligman, and his impact on Route 66.This is a fantastic store. it's a great place to look around, especially Angel's Barber Shop. There are great shirts, magnets, hats, etc.Later on that evening, we happened to meet Angel, who was out on his daily walks. We both had a fantastic conversation, and he showed me where the original alignment of Route 66 was, and we walked over to his pool hall. Thus was quite the experience, and I will always remember the kindness of his daughters and the history lesson from Angel.

Wow what an experience, so much history. This shop is very special & a must stop if your into old Route 66. It all starts here and how the last remainder of the hi way was saved and turned into a historic drive. Hector (hope that's right) shared so much history of Angel the Barber and how it all came together. Many of the items including shirts are USA made as well. Take the time and get off the main highway, get a map and take a drive down history lane. Were glad we did! The Pixar film Cars was based from this town.

A must-stop on Route 66. Angel and Vilma’s family clearly has the same lovely spirit. Take your time to read the family’s history on the windows and inside. It’s not just a gift shop, it’s an inspiration. I look forward to this place every rt66 trip!

If you love Americana, Disney's Cars or anything Rt. 66, Angel & Vilma's Original Route 66 Gift Shop is a MUST see! Our family traveled the entire Rt.66 from Albuquerque, NM to Needles, CA and this was by far our favorite stop. Angel's son in-law Mauricio greeted us when we walked in, asked where we were from and invited us to explore all around the store. While some stops on 66 would not speak to us, and acted like our even being there was a bother, Mauricio made us feel at home and welcomed. He loved that our family respected and loved the magic, beauty and nostalgia of the old Mother Road. All of that past and present American greatness has been persevered in this classic family fun shop on 66. Our family first found out about this gem while searching for Rt.66 content on YouTube. We found Justin Scared's RandomLand channel that showcased this American Icon and we knew we had to visit. I will include a few pictures, but nothing does this slice of American pie justice like actually stepping back in time and meeting Mirna, Clarissa and Mauricio! I want to say Thank You to the entire Delgadillo family for welcoming my family and for preserving an iconic moment in Great American History. So jump in the family Truckster, put on "Get Your Kicks On Rt. 66", and head down the Mother Road to Angel & Vilma Delgadillo's Original Route 66 Gift Shop!!!

This place is overflowing with joy, helpfulness and kindness. It is really amazing, although came from Poland really felt like home. It was honour to meet you. Thank you for keeping it alive! Unfortunately had to cancel our trip due to COVID-19, and had one night booked here. I've tried to contact the inn several times over email, phone, and facebook message over the last month and they will not respond, despite posting often on Facebook that they are still open. I cannot recommend this place at all if this is how they choose to do business.

Absolutely an outdated off the beaten path motel. But honestly was perfect to rest our heads before heading out to Havasupai to hike for 3 days. They were accommodating and seemed to keep the place as clean as they could for the age of the facility

Cavern tours, and anything underground is temporarily closed . Check website. The reception was very nice about the update . We took photos a radiator springs gas station right in front of.

It’s important to remember that this is Supai owned, and in the middle of the desert. It’s part of an adventure. So it’s not elegant, or modern, and many may find it “uncomfortable”— but for the adventurous of heart, it’s just a part of the experience (plus— it’s a part of iconic Route 66— focus on the positive and you’ll love the journey)•Check-in for Havasupai Falls was here. It was a great place to stock up on supplies, buy water and a few snacks, get a decent night of rest, and take a step back through time.•The service was friendly, kind and helpful.•The check-in process was quick and easy.•The store was small, but had a great selection.•The coolest part of the experience was “journey through time” room that was a curated collection of amazing nostalgic items from vintage cameras to Disney movies.•I don’t recommend an extended stay here- but for those passing through, it’s a great desert experience. (Those of you who have hiked out of Havasu know that any place feels like a luxury after ascending the canyon 😂)

Davron B — Google review

The Grand Canyon Caverns Inn is a rudimentary hotel that makes a good stopover for hikers visiting Havasu Canyon, and the backside of the main building currently houses the check-in office for that trek, issued via the Havasupai tribe’s staff — where you pick up your permit/paperwork and wristbands prior to driving to the Hualapai Hilltop. Currently, there are no cave tours here, and the property, as a whole, needs a refresh and a little love. The rooms are basic (no clock, refrigerator, Kleenex, etc.), but there’s a restaurant on the RV portion of the property, just up the road, and there’s also a small store with simple provisions, making it a decent waystation before or after a visit to remote Supai. Another plus is that unlike other hotels in Seligman and Peach Springs, this one is not situated near the railroad tracks, so it’s a quiet night’s sleep.

Amazing views of such a majestic place. Ride the red shuttle all the way hermits rest. Every picture is a good one with the canyons in the back. Continue down for the long hike to the Colorado river , or just stop for a Picnic packed lunch . A few tables offer a a great place to eat and get photos. The red shuttle runs every 10 minutes however the mask rule is still ridiculous. Lots of squirrels and birds make it like a scene from Bambi . Do not feed! Don’t leave your bang unattended either as it may be ransacked by those little furry guys! Be sure to switch your camera to panoramic to get the best pics! Enjoy

If you’re in Vegas and you want to make a day trip to the Grand Canyon this is perfect. It took us about two hours to drive there and the cost for the skywalk and the general admission was about $60. That might seem a bit steep but I can tell you that I felt it was worth it. Though I was scared to death to walk around the skywalk I was blown away by the incredible views of the Grand Canyon. I would suggest this place as a day trip for anybody that doesn’t have time to make the 4 Hour Dr. to the actual park.

History museum

The Arizona Route 66 Museum, located in the former Kingman Powerhouse museum and visitor center complex, offers a fascinating journey through the history of the iconic highway. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring vintage cars, dioramas, and a movie that narrates the story of Route 66 from its origins as an indigenous trade route to its heyday as a symbol of Main Street America in the 1950s.

Make sure to take cash when visiting the museum section. We were fortunate enough to have had a host let us be his guest. The museum is informative, interesting and shows some great history of the area, route 66 and the time.Great little gift shops. If you collect stretch pennies they have the penny holder and a penny holder journal. If your traveling for the route 66 experience get your stamp and passport ($10 approx) to add a fun little treasure to your trip.

Very neat museum set in an old power plant. There is so much information about the settlers and the growth of route 66. The basem*nt also had an electric car exhibit. It's definitely worth a stop.

In the Morning of April 12, 2018, we found ourselves on the old Route 66 in Kingman Arizona. This historic community displayed a variety of art along the main strip which gave it more character and attraction. This was a great place to visit as we made our way north.

If you don’t stop here and visit, you have no idea what you’re missing!!! Family, fun, photos, adventure and historical views as well as memorabilia. Route 66 is considered the most historical iconic memories that you could ever have in the whole entire United States! Doll, who can relate will understand the full meaning of 🇺🇸… do not hesitate to ask the staff for a guy tour book or a map to enjoy all the sites and history behind the wonderful travels of the United States of America!!!

This museum is part of a set of three that'll cost you a whopping $4! Yep, $4 for all three. :-)You'll learn a lot of history about route 66 here that is not generally passed on in common folklore. So it's quite an interesting spot to visit.

We enjoyed this museum with our adult children. There are many photos and stories of people who assisted in the development of Route 66, as well as maps helping you see the journey. Bonus! Downstairs there is an Electric Car Museum with historical EVs, so fun!!

Jacqui J — Google review

Take a walk around Kingman and not just the center, there are many shops and stores and sites to see all over the town. Grab a bite or bring a bite and sit at the park and enjoy. Many photographic scenes to shoot and it has an interesting history.

This was a nice pit stop on the way from Flagstaff to Vegas. Very inexpensive museum. The entire Route 66 museum, electric car display, and history film should take an hour to two hours to go through if reading all of the information. Two gift shops also attached. Great photos and relics to share a piece of country’s past.

bricks1215 — Google review

Very fun little store great photo opportunities outside, there is a paid part of the museum but we didn't have enough time so we didn't walk through it there is plenty to do for free. Lots of good souvenirs, kids got candy, Mom and Dad were able to get soda and water. There's a picture photo booth in the back there is also restrooms.

An excellent museum about electric cars with exhibits ranging from the history to the present day. The various components of the electric vehicle from the past are nicely exhibited and are a great experience. The museum is hosted in the Visitor Center which is accessible ♿ and also has a reserved accessible parking.

Maira G — Google review

$10 for adult to enter, it’s worth the drive to here because interesting historical information about Route 66 and the cars.

Veronica — Google review

Great little museum packed with interesting history about famed Route 66. Housed inside a historic power station building from the early 1900s, it's on the second floor above the local visitor center. Admission is cheap at 10 bucks and that also gets you entry into two other local attractions – the Mohave Museum that features the regional history and environment, and the historic Bonelli House, also from the early 1900s.The Route 66 Museum itself has plenty of information about the legendary road including stories of the early explorers and settlers that initially passed through the region. There are fascinating displays talking about and recreating the wagons and “Prairie Schooners” used in those days, then more exhibits about the early days of automobile travel on dirt roads before Route 66 actually came to be. Of course it then goes on to the heyday of Route 66 with some recreations of vintage storefronts and finally the decline of the “Mother Road” as the highway system takes hold. That decline is highlighted by a documentary that plays in the mini-theater downstairs on the way to the Electric Vehicle Museum. The EV Museum is part of the standard admission fee and was an interesting bonus – it was actually the main reason I wanted to check out this place having recently bought an electric car myself. The museum consists of one large hall containing a variety of electric vehicles ranging from neighborhood electric vehicles (NEVs) - good only for short urban hops - to fully road-legal EVs like a Tesla Roadster and converted Porsche 911, to one-off race vehicles. It's not a comprehensive overview of EV history by any means but fascinating nonetheless and well worth the low price of admission. The local Tesla Supercharger station happens to be located beside the museum building and there's a free level 2 charger for non-Tesla EV drivers too on the opposite side, just in case you drove here in an electric vehicle yourself. The visitor center has a great gift shop for Arizona souvenirs and beside it there's another gift shop specifically for the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona with plenty of merchandise to choose from.Outside in the parking lot is a great photo opportunity with a large Route 66 sign you can drive your car or motorcycle through. All in all, a wonderful little stop for any road trip through Kingman, especially for anyone interested in the old Route 66.

Oliver ( — Google review

Spent time looking around the museum. Best part was the history, photos and memorabilia of the dust bowl years. Could not imagine driving route 66, through the desert of AZ, in the open vehicles and trucks while heading to California.

Melissa L — Google review

A nice museum and gift shop. We spent a good amount of time there. First in the Route 66 section. Then downstairs in the electric car museum. Although most of the cars were built out of internal combustion engine vehicles. But it was still interesting to see. You of course, exit through a gift shop. It was a nice museum worth the time to stop and check out.

The famous London Bridge, which was rebuilt after being transported from London in the 1970s, is a major attraction in Lake Havasu. Visitors can take a walking tour to explore the bridge and its surroundings. The area around the bridge offers many options for dining, shopping and entertainment. One of the popular activities is riding on the casino boat across the lake for a nominal fee of $2 where one can enjoy scenic views of city lights reflecting off water at night.

Pretty awesome! Glad I made the trip. Looks like a great place to party with friends or a fun day with the family on the water. There's a little bit of everything no matter what the occasion maybe. So many food options, friendly people and countless fun things to do.

I absolutely love the structure of this. History saved and new history created. The details on the lamp posts are amazing. Great view from all sides on top and underneath. There's plenty of shops, restaurants, restrooms, parking, activities, and history to learn. The culture and atmosphere just pulls you in.

My kid asked to go here for his 16th birthday. I wasn't thrilled, but it was his request, so that was what we were going to do. I had surprisingly a fun time. It's a cool thing to see but nothing to write home about. I liked the historical things discussing the bridge in that city but wished they added more about its history in London. That was the bridge they used to put heads on. It had 2 former queens decorating it. Shout out to King Henry for the murders! The surrounding city was friendly, and the scenery was very pretty. I would see it again.

Really nostalgic place heavily documented with signage and info. Great food around, too. The red phone booth and other props are great for photo ops. The homage paid in the bricks was very touching. Several other great stops close to the bridge makes it an awesome time along our Route 66 adventure!

Absolutely beautiful place and very friendly town. Loved the fact that its a dog friendly town, allowing us to have our golden retriever and Chihuahua at all time. Outside of being dog friendly, most people cleaned up after their dogs too.

Very cute little "village" where you can eat, shop, or just walk around and enjoy. There's restaurants to eat, stands to buy quick bites, a park to walk along the river, lighthouse replicas to see, and of course boat rides. The kids enjoyed themselves (I have teens and little ones) It was a lot of walking but very beautiful views and picture opportunities. After walking around and exploring, we ate at "The Chair and decided to call it a day. We were there a total of 4 hours (including lunch). We went during winter, Dec 28. I think it looks even prettier during Spring or Fall. We'll be back one day 😊

This was my first time here and it was really nice. There was some construction going on so certain areas were blocked off. Overall we had a good time walking around ..

Amazing bridge beautiful and well kept 🌉 The little area below is adorable we absolutely loved the little shops and restaurants. The whole thing is such a good vibe. Many amenities to rent for the day and a inexpensive boat to take you across the water to a casino. Our new favorite spot in Lake Hasavu 💛

Lindsay M — Google review

Great shops and great places to eat....However, while my mobility is currently limited due to surgically reconstructed foot. The primary drawback is that there is only one way to access these great shops if you are in a wheelchair or other adaptive device or mode of ambulation (knee scooter, crutches).... There is only one ADA approved entry to this area. The surface is relatively unlevel and has many steep inclines.A few of the shops also lack ADA approved access points either for entry or internal travel.

Jeff O — Google review

The bridge itself is nice, and there are many businesses around it. Restaurants, gift shops (pricey), boat rentals... you name it & it's probably there. Had a lovely time there with friends. And the ferry lands there for easy access from/to the casino across the lake.

Colleen D — Google review

In the 45 years we've lived in AZ, we had never visited this attraction. 🤔 We were very to surprised to see how nice it was. It starts with a very nice gift shop with some historical displays. As you walk down to the bridge, you'll see shops and places to eat. There is a lovely paved walk along the river which leads to a wonderful little city park. The channel that they dug to make the bridge go over water (only bridge built over dry land and then flooded to make it that way). The resulting island has an interesting drive around it where you can see about 15 models of famous lighthouses. The biggest surprise was that it didn't cost a dime to use the gift shop or see the bridge or walk. It was all very nice and would recommend seeing it if you haven't been.

Jack M — Google review

The lighting of the bridge at night and taking the river boat out underneath it seems to immensely amplify this amazing experience. There are plenty of outside shops and eateries that you can sit at and watch the entertainment. It's definitely a place worth visiting .

Bryan J — Google review

Lake Havasu is always fun and the London Bridge is pretty cool. There are places to eat, drink, and shop. For $2 you can ride the casino boat across the lake to the casino and back. Great way to get a tour of the lake and at night you get to see all the lights of the city reflecting of the water. Very beautiful. Highly recommend the Starship tour that takes you on the lake and up the Colorado River.

Been there a few times, but most times I've been most stores were closed in the winter. Made a point of going during spring break time. It wasn't too busy. My girls loved it ad well. They especially loved the ice cream shop. Be warned, it's cash only.

I love this cute little city! If you’re ever in Havasu you have to visit the London Bridge. There’s different restaurants, very nice walking path, and overall just a great vibe!

London Bridge was purchased, dismantled, transported, then rebuilt In Lake Havasu City prior to dredging and making the channel and creating the island. It’s a piece of world history in the middle of the desert. A must see when in Lake Havasu, make sure you take the time to see it at night lit up!

Michele S — Google review

Most people confuse London Bridge in Arizona with the iconic London Bridge in the United Kingdom. The one in Arizona was purchased in London in the 1960s, dismantled and reassembled on Lake Havasu. It's a beautiful place with great views, especially during sunset, and a popular spot for tourists and photographers. The bridge itself is surrounded by shops, restaurants and recreational facilities, making it a picturesque place worth visiting. Very good restaurant right next to the bridge, we will definitely come back here!!

Szymon F — Google review

They removed all the love locks unfortunately.London bridge was originally built in the 1830’s, and bought by Robert McCullough for $2,460,000 in 1968 and moved to the new town Lake Havasu to bring in tourists. This was an amazing feat and one of the most memorable investments for a town ever made. Now the new local government wants to change that and make it a ghost town. Very sad to see the new changes to all of havasu.

Matt F — Google review

This is a great place to visit! The bridge has an amazing story of how it got to Arizona. We arrived on a Monday mid-morning and the place was pretty empty. We were able to explore everything we wanted and took our time doing it. We had our RV and we're able to park it in the dirt lot with plenty of room to spare. There are lots of restaurants and other activities like boat tours and rental equipment. Overall, we have been having fun and apparently we just missed the Spring Break crowds!

Mike B — Google review

Not much to say. It’s London Bridge in Arizona. Worth a visit for the novelty value alone. Plenty of hospitality in and around the area, but the bridge itself is really just a snap and go attraction.

Luke B — Google review

Very interesting to visit, see and learn about the bridge and what brought it to Lake Havasu City. It's very unfortunate that there are so many boat rental places and other tourist traps around the main boardwalk, it's almost impossible to get a good photo of the bridge that doesn't have a random flag or sign somewhere in the back.Certainly looked like the place will be very busy in the summer months.

Andy L — Google review

Lots of history. Cute shops, food. Took boat tour of copper canyon which was really informative. Love this area. Beautiful vacation destination

Kim J — Google review

You can take a nice walk along the bridge. The English village, the restaurants and small stores were especially great. You can also hire boats here and water sports enthusiasts will find plenty to do. Don't forget to take the ferry, roundtrip 4 dollars for 1 hour, kids 2 years and younger are free. Nearby there are some great parks and a museum. The place is ideal for a short trip.

Angelique H — Google review

Beautiful waterfront district with plenty of nearby hotels and lots of nightlife decorated hy historical beauty. Perfect place to come get some food during the off season when it's not spring break full of college kids.

Justin B — Google review

Lake Havasu was gorgeous!! It felt like I stepped into another world. The atmosphere was cozy, comfortable, and very inviting. Beautiful views no matter where you turned. I visited during December, so the water wasn't as active as I'm sure it is during the summer months, but enjoyable and beautiful nonetheless.

This place is so good. I came here during the holidays and I think it was the perfect time. I took a long walk on the bridge and around the visitor center and the beach. It was lovely. There were holiday decorations and I got a bunch of lovely pictures. The water cooled my mind. It wasn't crowded, it was peaceful and nice. Most of the restaurants and stores were closed for holidays.

SUPRITHA B — Google review

Quaint shopping area. Souvenirs and restaurants by the water. The phone booths are a nice touch. The walkway by the water is very nice. Only had one ride encounter with a shop owner being too pushy selling hats. “Have fun at the dermatologist “.

Jennifer T — Google review

What a fascinating place! We decided to stop here along a road trip and found this to be much more interesting than we anticipated. We had ish there had been more “touristy” shops and stuff to do, but it was still a lot of fun to see the actual London Bridge. We didn’t see any signage that explained the history of the bridge or why it was moved to this place or what it took to move it and that was a little disappointing, but overall it was a nice 20 minute stop along our way.

American restaurant

Step into the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar, a historic Old West venue that has been transformed into an ice cream shop and American eatery. This establishment is located in a building with a rich history, rumored to be haunted, and was originally built in 1902 as the Durlin Hotel. After being rebuilt following a fire in 1924, it was renamed the Oatman Hotel in the 1960s.

Great day trip for the family. The drive in is beautiful and littered with donkeys along the road so drive slowly. The town is welcoming and playing with the donkeys was so much fun. The locals were very friendly and willing to share all kind of info about the town and wildlife. Oh yeah.. the food was wonderful and plentiful!

Bill W — Google review

A fun place to visit and have a meal. The menu is basic having mostly burger and fries type of food. They do offer a few salads for the health conscious. What is intriguing is the massive amount of dollar bills attached everywhere possible!

Cosmic ( — Google review

The truth is that the Restaurant employees were extremely courteous. The concern is more about the clientele behavior. It's clear that some of your customers still instill poor interaction behavior with a variety of different cultures. As a owner of my own restaurant i have found that this can usually cause customers to stop returning.Again the service by all the employees was great. I believe that promoting better respect among all customers should be a big focus. By providing more server's helps to meditate the time frame of customers to customers interaction.

The food here is delicious!! Such a unique menu and the portions are huge! I would definitely recommend the pulled pork it’s amazing. And the buffalo burger tastes really good. Both we’re definitely hits 😋😋

Christy B — Google review

The staff was friendly. The live music made for great atmosphere. The food was great!1/3 pound burgers made fresh were great. Our food came pretty quick and we were able to see the gun fight.I enjoyed the onion rings and fries with great burgers. The dollars all over the room was a cool sight. Hope to come back the next time I’m here.By the way, the name says hotel only for recognition, they don’t book rooms.

We love Oatman and the hotel. Every trip to the area we go there and check out the shops and the hotel. Highly recommend. Great place to stop in and eat as well as gawk at all the wall and ceiling decorations. We have missed breakfast every time we go so hoping to get to enjoy that sometime also. We will definitely be back again in the next year.

Chris P — Google review

We visited Oatman and hopped into the Oatman Hotel & Restaurant for lunch. Great service in a quirky place full of $1 bills. The waitress said they are estimating it to be more than $400,000 stapled to the wall. There is some great history behind why these bills are there (ask someone working there and they will explain why).I had the Road Runner Chicken Sandwich and my husband had the Pulled Pork. Mine was okay. My hubby looooooved his!Priced as expected as it is the only restaurant in town.Worth a visit!

Tina M — Google review

Fun place to stop in for a drink and bite to eat. The amount of dollar bills stuck to the walls was staggering. Food was good, and ambience put you feeling like being in the Wild West. The gun fight show in the street at 1:30pm was a huge plus. We were able to see it right was we walked outside from lunch.

Andrew P — Google review

I went to the restaurant. Food was good. Drinks were good although watch the bottle beer. The one we got was skunky. But that could be because everyone else got the drafts. It's worth going to and giving it a try.

Melissa B — Google review

This place was awesome! The town was created in 1915 as an old mining town and you can see that in how the town looked. There's a lot of tourist stuff there too unfortunately we didn't get to see everything and plan to come back again, also not only that but they had a western show in the middle of the day for everyone to see as well. There's donkeys as you walk around and in the middle of the street as you're driving there so please be careful besides that the whole thing was just a great experience.

Cawey R — Google review

Super cool! Full of dollar bills on the walls and ceiling! They are everywhere. Don’t miss the upstairs. Lots of gifts and souvenir items and history posted to read. Seeing the old hotel room is interesting too. Staff member was super kind too. We did not eat here but have heard the food is wonderful.

T T — Google review

Oatman is a small tourist trap with a twist, they have wild donkeys. They made the visit worth while. The Hotel is nothing special except for Clark Gable staying there a long time ago. The bar has thousands of dollar bills stapled everywhere. I will say Heidi made me her one of a kind ice coffee, great job Heidi. Without the donkeys or Heidi's coffee, I'm not very interested.

Dan S — Google review

Fun restaurant in kitschy Oatman. Being the only restaurant in town, I did not expect it to be good; but it does seem like this is the beating heart of the town! Nice atmosphere, live music, a lot of people, and the burgers tasted really nice!

Fabian H — Google review

Some of the most unusual wallpaper I’ve ever seen. Oatman Hotel Restaurant and Saloon is nestle in a quiet old gold and silver mining town. Right out of the old western movies that my Ma and Pa used to watch. A menu with many items to choose from including good old biscuits and gravy which I had ordered. Some of the best gravy I’ve ever tasted. Glancing over at other tables, where people were eating, the other items look delicious also. The locals which not only include those who live there, there are several boroughs wondering around the streets. Friendly and very hungry. If you like stepping back into history and love delicious tasting food, then give the town of Oatman, Arizona a visit and don’t pass up the Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Saloon.

Jimmy Z — Google review

If you're interested in checking out an early 1900s mining town? This is the place to go. It has interesting shopping and good food. On weekends, there are staged gun fights.

Edward F — Google review

This was a cool place to check out while doing the Route 66 road trip.I didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food or service. We were allowed to walk around and take pictures. It was AWESOME!There are over 400,000 $1.00 bills that are literally hanging everywhere a space could/can be found. And the Burros roaming freely about town and along the sidewalks of the shops are funny too.My sister & I had one that came from behind us and just walked right between us as we were walking down the sidewalk window shopping.

JoAnn M — Google review

I had the buffalo burger with burro ears and enjoyed all of it. My daughter ordered the tuna melt with fries and that was yummy as well. The whole decor of the restaurant is very unique and I dig the vibe. Service was excellent and all the staff were extremely friendly and talkative. Really happy we happened to randomly walk into the place.

J R — Google review

Buffalo burger was delicious! It was my first choice. The prices are fair, and the service was great, especially considering the crowd they were accommodating. We met some friendly people there, too!

Lin N — Google review

Not very far from Las Vegas, in the town called Oatman is the 'Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar' which has US Dollars stuck all over it. The site is very unusual since this is not merely a decoration theme but real currency notes, also called a 'Bill' in the US. I found this to be a cool place to check out while doing the Route 66 road trip in June 2023. These dollar bills were originally left there for the miners to buy food since they would go into the mines and come out after several weeks. These bills left for them by passersby would ensure they were not starved. The tradition continues to date, except people also write their names on the dollar bill. There is also a gift shop and museum attached to the restaurant, but they were closed when I visited.

Tushar S — Google review

This is the only place in Oatman to get a meal but that's okay because it's a great choice. The Oatman Hotel Restaurant & Bar is no longer a hotel, just a restaurant with a full bar. From unique atmosphere to the terrific service we thoroughly enjoyed lunch here while visiting the famous burros of Oatman.

Gary C — Google review

Fun place for lunch and Western gunfight! The burro chips are extra large potato chips and very unique. Get sauce to dip into. Servers are fast and efficient. 20 min. from Bullhead City, AZ.

Denise P — Google review

Really cool historic bar Clark Gable used to hang out here. It’s really fun to see y’all the dollar bills stapled to the ceiling and walls. They have cheap alcohol and good food. Most days they have a band.

bartellj — Google review

Was so excited to finally get to visit here but this waitress was the absolute worst .... why even work with the public if you do not like working with people 😒 terrible. Almost 2 hour wait . ✋️

Shaina P — Google review

Wonderfully charming place to eat with home cooked food and huge portions. You won't go hungry or thirsty here. With over $300,000 dollars worth of dollar bills stuck to the walls and ceiling, this eatery does not lack any conversation. On occasion you will also get to see Big Mike come in from his wrangling and robbing in the streets (all for show). They make their own potato chips which are amazing when they cover them in cheese and garlic!! We've eaten here many times and everything has always been great. Still the pulled pork is simply the best when you pair it with the homemade chips and a bottle of Route 66 Root Beer. The Root Beer isn't on the menu, so you have to ask for it. Christa will help you out, she is a wonderful advocate of Oatman and is charming and gave us great advice on future stays. She didn't steer us wrong on our food either. Over all this place has so much character it's worth it to come in and have a drink or a samwhich to just take a look around and here some stories about how the dollar bills were left for the miners. You will probably see the burros out front as well because the smell of the food drew us in as well!!

Kristol B — Google review

We had a wonderful time in Oatman everyone extremely friendly. Ended our trip with lunch our waitress Connie rocked we had so much fun with her. Everyone in restaurant very helpful. Food was yummy and hot best service and food since our trip to Laughlin.

Ll C — Google review

It is a bar and a restaurant. It is not possible to stay overnight here. The ambience is funny, with hundreds of dollar bills replacing the paper on the walls. It was also suitably decorated for Halloween. The food was average but honest. The service was okay. We had sadwiches and soda. The place itself puts on a western show at noon-1pm. The restaurant was part of the holdup. That was funny.

Robert — Google review

Great staff, great food and drinks. We even found dollar bills signed by us in 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Only downside is the burrows prevented my wife from going out 😆 🤣

Great gifts. Some pretty cool antiques and off the wall stuff. Definitely recommend

Loved our stop in Oatman & this place was a special stop with the motorcycle Museum! Along with the wild burros made it even better.

Ginger H — Google review

Interesting, quirky, quaint, historic, artsy, old west mining town from the early 1900s that got resurrected for the tourist trade. Lots of domestic donkeys gone wild wandering about. Worth a visit if in the general area and you have a few spare hours .

Purchased a lawn ornament during our travels in our rv. Confirm with clerk it was the correct item without opening the box. Upon return home I opened the box to discover we had the wrong item. Upon contacting the store they provided a full refund . Very pleased

Pretty interesting place! I liked the motorcycle museum up stairs. Fun day with the jackasses roaming the street! Plus you can say you drive on Route 66!

The Colorado River Heritage Greenway Park & Trails provides a magnificent opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the area while learning about its fascinating history. There are a variety of trails that offer hikers a variety of experiences, and each is rich with stories about the land and its people.

We stopped by the park for a short walk. It's a very nice park by the river. The water is crystal clear! Beautiful for walk, picnic and of course water sports fun!

Angela Z — Google review

Absolutely love this trail! Goes for about 3.1 mi and breaks off to many other trailheads.

Amelia ( — Google review

Great walking area with a few accessed points to river.

Karen B — Google review

Really awesome trail! Did the whole thing in a loop this morning. I was disappointed to discover a homeless encampment near the picnic shelters on the river on the west side as I was exploring with my dog. Not exactly ideal near kids playground and picnic shelters. The trail through the city side and over the bridge isn't very fun, if I were to do it again I might just do it in reverse back instead of going through the traffic side.

Justin E — Google review

What a wonderful park and trail system for local residents and tourists alike! We visited the area twice yesterday. We drove down near the dam and walked up to the dam itself and down along the River. There is a great playground and easy river access. Later in the day I walked our energetic German Shepherd up the Davis Dam Overlook trail from Davis Campground for a nice 4 mile hike. There are a number of trails with different access points, water and restroom facilities. Each of the trailhead/parking lots appears to have an onsite host/employee residing in an RV. The trails are well maintained and marked. There are story boards explaining the trail system, history, the river and the dam. Her are also large maps of the trail system in numerous locations along the route.

Excellent place at Camp Davis , you pay 20 per person , kids are free. They have clean bathrooms, showers and the shore is perfectly accessible. Water is clean and atmosphere is amazing!

Livier O — Google review

Good park to have a picnic or ride along the Colorado River on your electric bike or hike along the walking trails to Davis dam.

Shirley H — Google review

We love taking our dog to this camp ground beach it's $7 a day and super nice our dog loves to play in the water.

Jennifer R — Google review

Beautiful trails that take you through the AZ/NV desert! After hiking the trails my personal favorite was the Desert Trail while my least favorite was the High Desert Trail. The former is the longest of the trails, but I find the hike very peaceful. The latter is missing proper signage and can be mistaken for other unmarked trails. For beginners or those with fur friends the Riverwalk trail, Davis Dam Trail, and Davis Camp Trail are paved. ☺️

Jenny J — Google review

Stopped by the South Beach on a Monday afternoon, it was empty, all areas looked clean and well taken care of/maintained. The water was ice cold and felt very peaceful since no one was around. Completely open parking space - we are definitely coming back!

Tanya S — Google review

Great easy trail. An out and back trail along the river. Nice views. Well maintained. Parking lot has restrooms and water. Water available along the trail. Even pet water fountains. Numerous shelters for lunch/picnics or just hanging.

Rocky F — Google review

This was a great walkAbout a 2 mile walk to the park directly across from the dam. Flat paved path asking the river as well as a dirt/gravel path for horses.Restrooms at both ends and water fountains and covered shade areas every mile or less.People fishing, walking, swimming, and enjoying the views.

From classic cars to trucks and motorcycles, this museum has something for everyone. The small gift shop is also a great place to pick up souvenirs for friends or family.

Very very cool to see.. beautiful cars, a must see if you love classic cars..

Antonio M — Google review

Phenomenal cars on display. I fancy myself a car person, but he had cars in there that I have never even heard of. Teared up a little reading the 911 Memorial Car. Fell in love all over again seeing the Corvette's from the 60's. Just so many beautiful American machines. The staff here were so great. They let you know that you are allowed to take plenty of pictures, the answer all questions you have, and we had a lot, lol

Kristol B — Google review

Entry was free if you have a players card. Also children under 18 get in for free. Otherwise it was $3.50 for entry. Lots of vert beautiful cars on display, some of which were marked for sale. The lady at the gift shop said that for the right price most of them could be purchased. There was also a lot of vintage memorabilia from trophy truck racing to ww2 items. Very clean with outstanding staff eager to talk to you about these awesome cars. Highly recommend especially if you have or get a players card which is also free.

Beautiful collection of maliciously curated classics. Wonder ful job. Worth the visit. If your a motor head and in the area, take the time and appreciate this fine collection. Takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on how much you read and drool. 😆 A+

It a great way to get out of the heat and see some cool cars

If you love classic vehicles be sure to check this out. Interesting facts about each vehicle including when it was restored. Not a huge museum but enough to take up 30 minutes or more.

We had the best time. the hotel sent us 3 days free room , 2 Buffets, 2 Prime Rib Room Dinners. You have to pay 20.00 a day resort fees and they hold 100. 00 deposit you get back after you leave. So worth it. The Prime Rib Room is Awesome Prime Rib was so tender you could cut it with your fork. I had catch of the day fish . Awesome!!! Salad bar and desert bar included.

Truly a 3-star hotel. We stayed in Executive Suite - the most expensive room in this hotel. The room itself is pretty big but that’s the only thing that is good. Everything in the room is very outdated. Air vents are dirty and looks like there is mold on them. Bottom part of the furniture has a thick layer of dust. Every morning we got a back pain from the mattress and rock hard pillows. Couldn’t sleep half of the night. The sound insulation between the room is very poor. Every morning at 6am I could hear our neighbors talk in their room. Room has a balcony that has no chairs to sit on - useless. For 2 people we got 1 small soap bar and 1 small body lotion tube. No shampoo and no toothpaste. That’s in Executive Suite, rates are double compare to a regular room.I gave it a 3 star and not 1 star because I realize it’s a 3-Star hotel and I can’t expect a 5 star service. But with few minor improvements they can make this hotel so much better.

Gene T — Google review

A car museum like no other. This is the place to be if you enjoy looking at antique cars. The large collection of these vehicles is unbeatable given how rare some of them are. Entrance admission at the museum is free for anyone under the age of 18, and adults (18+) if they have a player's card. Otherwise, it is only three dollars per adult. Reservations are not needed, as staff work very quickly to get people in. The museum is quite large and takes about half an hour to an hour to see all the cars they have on display. Overall, highly recommend visiting.

Love this place. I visit every time I go back to Laughlin and I always try to stay at the Riverside - it’s the OG spot for sure. Sometimes the cars change, but a lot of the old ones are still there. My fav is always the Delorean (pictured), and I think the family of Don Laughlin (RIP) has done a good job keeping this place looking nice. I have so many memories of my parents taking me there in the 1980s. Love this place.

Pete M — Google review

Great place to spend some time and take a few trips down memory lane. Many memorials and shadow boxes celebrating places and organizations from around the world. Kids are free and it's only $3 for adult admission.

co*ke F — Google review

There are two separate car exhibits at this casino. May the odds be ever in your favor if you’re meeting up there. Both are 5 star so you won’t be disappointed. The gift shops fun with lots of options. There are lots to look at besides the cars if the cars are not your favorite. It’s definitely a well rounded place. Well organized, clean bathrooms in the gift shop area, quiet area, friendly staff. It’s a nice place for a date or just to get away from the casino crowd for a bit. Reasonable cost, no line, amazing collection!

Our second home away from home.Love this place. The casino floor layout has changed a bit and the non smoking area has gotten smaller again. So technically there is no longer a non smoking area with the other half of the old non smoking now a smoking area. The room was nice and clean.

WOW the staff here makes our stays so pleasant. Dylan at the front desk has such a good attitude & has been super helpful every interaction we have with him. Andrew, Samantha, Anthony, Jeremy, Tammy & Dina at the bars have excellent customer service. They're so friendly & remember our drink order. The staff at Beach Club & The Range always get our to go orders correct, I suggest the French Dip.Some of the rooms could us an update but over all the rooms are clean. The gym is decent & the hot tub is open in the winter months. Location is a little removed from the main drag but a walk down the hill are the other casinos. The shuttle also runs to the Tropicana.Free parking is another perk!!The sunsets are beautiful, sometimes the mountains to the east turn pink during sunset. Very relaxing watching the birds hunting for fish in the clear blue water of the Colorado River.

You pay what you get for. Great if have a family on a budget. The elevators are horrible, it was take about 30 mins to get to your room from the casino floor. So be prepared especially if you have children. The hotel needs to put a security officer near the elevator. Tired and drunk people don’t mixed. We had to walk 10 floors of stairs to get to our room. Thank God I’m fit!

Savage — Google review

Okay so room is GREAT for the price but we got lucky there. Waiting for the elevator every night sucked. ****Loved loved loved that there was an adult only pool with bar. Drinks are pricey everywhere. Beach was amazing except 118 dollars a day for palapa and 2 sun lounge chairs. Totally worth it but paying for shade because it's 116 seemed excessive... waitress from beach bar earned her tips. She had a hard job!!! She was nice. Won at slots. Our room ran out of toilet paper. That was weird. Slept great. Beds were nice and black out curtains worked great. They are older rooms but okay for what they are. We enjoyed our time despite the little things.

Amber D — Google review

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this resort. We were just there for 4 days and had a great time. We stayed in the South Tower and our room was clean and cool. The staff was attentive the whole weekend. co*cktails were fast, maybe the ones complaining should try tipping occasionally. The adult pool was fine. The kid pool and the beach looked crazy so we didn't go there. The Range was a great experience. A little pricey but worth it.

ajpeppers254 — Google review

The rooms are hideous!! 1989 style and shredded drapes! The finish was gone on the coffee tables.... Just take them out along with the drapes!! Very few co*cktail waitresses and not many jackpots going on. The best part was the steakhouse. This place is out in the middle of nowhere so be prepared to travel. I'll probably go back but I won't stay the night.

Lesa H — Google review

Visited at the beginning of May for my Birthday. I had a wonderful time. The location is great, not on the boardwalk but just a boat ride away. The hotel beach and pools were clean, Relaxing, and plenty employees who were helpful. The room had 2 good beds, both firm, plenty of pillows, and soft bedding. Had a river view and it was exactly what I wanted to wake up to.Thank you Harrahs!

Jessica W — Google review

I am glad I booked with Harrah's and didn't listen to reviews. From the moment I checked in until check out I had the best time. I forgot the name of the front desk agent that helped me but she was a ray of sunshine. I got a room in the center tower with the river and pool view. The room was really clean and spotless, it's more than expected for an older hotel. The staff are really great and friendly. You will need reservations for their restaurants, just FYI, better make it ahead of time. Pool was open but it was freezing so I didn't get to utilize that. Overall, awesome experience!

Michelle B — Google review

Never had any real issues here except during one stay when a computer glitch put me in a different room but front desk fix it immediately.Rooms in the North and Central tower are a little dated but comfortable to stay in. I always ask to stay in the south tower when possible cause the rooms are more modern and closer to the action down stairs. They do have plenty of food options here which I like and I usually go with the Beach cafe as the prices are still reasonable during this weird year and food have always been a hit for me.The co*cktail Servers are very nice and do bring drinks around in a timely manner. Only had one issue with one server that was standing and talking to another worker while her tray had drinks ready to be served. Beer was already warm when handed to me.I do have some favorite servers and always try to sit in their section cause they always take care of me without issues.overall I'll keep coming back and staying here for work cause staff are always friendly and I feel safe during my visits

Jamie S — Google review

We stayed a total of 4 nights. It was a sold out weekend so it was very busy. We stayed in the North tower which was awful!! For the entire tower, only 2 elevators were working. We were constantly waiting in long lines to get back into our room and even just to get down to the main floor was a nightmare. On top of that, our room keys “deactivated” 4 times. They said to be sure we weren’t keeping our key next to debit cards or electronics, and they still wouldn’t work.Imagine waiting in a 30 minute line just to get up to your room, only for your key not to work. Very frustrating. The staff were all very nice. I will never stay here again.

Krissy — Google review

We always loved coming to Harrah's in Laughlin, but we hadn't been in several years. This time, we were really disappointed by the lack of amenities and lower quality of service. The valet (which used to be free) is now $10 a night...which isn't awful, compared to Vegas. The trouble was, the valet was marked "full" (when in reality it wasn't full at all, they just didn't have staff for it). I don't like being deceived in this way...I could clearly see that the valet wasn't full. The self parking garage is confusing to get to and isn't connected directly to the casino, meaning you have to walk a long way to get to the hotel. The parking garage elevators were slow or not working, so if we hadn't insisted on them taking our luggage out near the valet, we would have had to wrestle some large and awkward bags down stairs and all that distance. The self check in kiosks were not working, so so much for contact free check in.The room itself looked very dated, with a giant wardrobe taking up valuable real estate. The air conditioning was cranked down to 60, but it was nearer to 75 and really humid in the room. The ice machine on our floor didn't work, even after reporting it several times to the front desk. Other guests reported the same thing on their floor. The whole hotel looks like it needs a serious makeover and rehab. They have done away with the magnificent buffet they used to have, and the rest of the restaurant options are really nothing special. Decent food, but the only restaurant open for most of the day is the Cafe, and it's not spectacular. The Range Steakhouse was nice, but not worth the high price (except for the excellent service).Gaming-wise, they have taken out a LOT of old, fun slot machines in the name of social distancing and replaced them with fewer ginormous, money-grubbing machines that are largely all the same. Very little playback to the customer on these, which doesn't make for a fun day of gaming. Many of the table games were closed during the day, and the ones that were open had too high of a minimum for the middle of the week. They used to have table games in the nonsmoking casino, but those are now gone and replaced with the ridiculous new slot machines, so if you want to play a table game in smoke-free comfort, you're out of luck.We ended up spending more of our dollars at another casino this trip. I am hoping that when I return that at least some of the room problems will have been addressed (but I am not optimistic). It's really a shame that this hotel has gone so downhill. Its sister property down the road was somewhat nicer with better service and food.

This is a casino, so it is what it is. They want your money and they will give you free drinks. As long as you were playing.. Booking in was very easy through my charter trip.. It is just that it is in the middle of nowhere and you have to take a ride to get anywhere.. Prices of course are outrageous for pops out of their little shops. They have 2 pools, one is a family pool. The other is the adult pool where they have the drinks. It was nice somewhat small, but if you were there early enough to get a chair, it was better. They provided the pool towels which were very big and thick.

Went to go celebrate 21 year anniversary with my husband. The room was dusty. It smelled musty like and old smell. Stains on carpet, ac didn't work has well. Only 2 elevators worked, the lines to get on elevator was long as if you are purchasing a lotto ticket. The elevator from the parking lot didn't work. Majority of the flooring was in such terrible condition. I'm surprised no one has hurt themselves. The stairs are not leveled. Terrible experience.

The hotel is in a great location and everything around looks beautiful and well kept. However, they need to freshen up their interior designs, it looks a little dated. I have been there several times in previous years, this time I found that they closed off the access to the beach at night time, and that used to be one of the best highlights of that hotel because they have a beautiful beach. It was so nice to sit at the shore of the river to have a drink or share a romantic moment. That was disappointing!

The hotel is at the end of the strip and looks great from the outside. 3 towers on the river front. It's not a straight drive to the hotel from the street. You will meander down the driveway. There are two parking garages and a small open lot. The valet was very helpful. I was "upgraded" to the center tower because one tower was closed for the season. The room was very dated. Carpet was dirty. Tub water barely drained. The sheer window curtain was shredded. The soft chair was shiny dirty. That's my best description, but definitely needed to be set out to pasture and burned. Two stars only because the valet was nice and helpful.

Rooms weren't as bright as they were in the pictures on their website. Not as clean as I thought it would have been as we found cigarette butts behind the TV and rappers underneath dressers, clearly visible. The floor was sticky in one area. Gaming was fun and the slots were a give and take. Room service was very very fast and efficient!!! I wish they would have more restaurants to choose from. The convenience store wasn't located at the top of the hill . Very inconvenient. There was an empty space where the convenience store must have been located previously in central tower. Doesn't seem cost-effective.

I will never set foot in a Ceasars property ever again. I was discriminated because I am Mexican American with a platinum rewards card (almost 💎. ) I earned this status in 3 weeks. First and only time I used the card to get a discount on a souvenir cup. Lady at the counter embarrassed me around other people. She accused me of trying to get a $3 discount that I didn't deserve because she said she didn't believe I had that kind of status. I showed her my card and ID. She was very rude and condescending. I walked out of there feeling like I was accused of robbing the place. It's sad that you have people like this working for you. I will spend my money and time at other casinos. Worst experience ever!

Starting with the good, the property itself is great. The beach is off the hook, the pools are nice, the casino is massive, the arcade is actually very good and there’s lots of good restaurants and bars to chose from. Parking is plentiful and the rooms/beds were clean. Unfortunately, the staff leaves much to be desired..I booked a single king room a month in advance, when I arrived they told me “there were no king rooms available, so I would be ‘upgraded’ to a double queen room. Well, the ‘double queen upgrade’ was just a standard double full on the second floor right next to the main entrance where you have no privacy and hear people hollering outside your window all day & night. We requested a drain stop for the bath tub, do not disturb sign and more towels at 6:00 pm and they never came, but we did get a housekeeper knocking on the door at 6:00 AM which was an early wake up call. This hotel has potential to be the best in Laughlin, but they need to get some issues ironed out.

Did a bit of slot playing on Christmas Day before and after dinner at the Range Steakhouse. Not a good day for me on the slots watched other people play. Everyone was pleasant and in good moods. The Casino has a non smoking section, thank goodness! Smokers do have rights as well, I just find it hard to breathe in some casinos. The casino is clean and well managed! Masks are worn everywhere by everyone. I am on board with that! Mandated in Nevada. It was a great day.

Great get-away! We took the charter down and had a very enjoyable time. Our room was on 6th floor of the South Tower - The room had chaise lounge, table and chair and a king bed, coffee maker, mini fridge and it looked like it was recently updated, everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and the casino does have a non smoking section. The mattress was very firm but we adjusted. The is a shuttle that takes you to the Tropicana which is walking distance to the other casinos. The only negative was the lack of food choices and shopping. We will definitely go back!

Before I go down the road of why I think this is worthy of only one star, I want to sing praises to the bell staff, the valet team, the co*cktail servers, and the front desk team who go above and beyond to make your experience the best it can be. If these teams were in a facility that was, well, something more 21st century, the rating would be significantly higher. We traveled through this area to stay one night and even that was too much. We booked two rooms and based on the photos of the website, we thought this could be a nice hotel and a fun spot on our road trip but we were quickly disappointed. The first of our two rooms was available at 4pm but the second room wasn’t ready until after 10pm.Both rooms were in the north tower and they made a motor lodge on the Jersey Turnpike seem better. The carpet and walls look as if they were recently cleaned after a crime and the rooms felt dirty. No dresser, no fridge, and only one chair made the room uncomfortable and quite awkward… again, nothing like it appears on their website. For $59 a night, it would be acceptable, but not for over $200 a night.Other challenges:- 3 of the 5 elevators were out of service.- Boat dock was destroyed so no water taxi to other casinos.Given the amount of disrepair of this resort, it makes one wonder if Caesar himself lost a bet to put their name on.Again, if this staff was at a better facility, they could put the competition out of business

This is a dump!!! Shame on Harrah’s, this is NOT a resort! Dog fee of 85.00 for a small dog is absurd, when room rate advertised at 30.00. The placed smelled, and everything is old and the stench of cigarettes is nauseating. Forget eating at the cafe. Waiter was rude and unhelpful. The beef dip sandwich was dry and tasteless. Pizza kiosk was closed as well as Starbucks. This place should be leveled. Would not go back if it was free.

Same story as everyone else. Have been here 10 times over the last 25 years and loved it. Checked in early last week for 3 nights. The first room had not been cleaned by housekeeping, the second room had filthy furniture and a broken table, and the third room had furniture missing and smelled like urine. Heard it was taking 40 minutes to get a filthy elevator ride in the north tower. We gave up after that and checked out. Were told we would be refunded within 3-4 days, but after 11, we have not been yet. Too bad, it was always the best place to stay, although we did have a nice place at Aquarius a couple of trips ago. Other than that, most of the places are mediocre at best. We did however, end up at the Golden Nugget this trip for one night, and it was okay. Looking forward to the AI response to this. Bottom line, Laughlin is a beautiful place, but the companies running the hotels are destroying it.

Everything about this place screams family friendly. The staff is amazing. The grounds are top shape as it’s going to be for the age of the property. Restaurants are on point the suite is great and updated wonderfully and definitely enjoy the private beach and the two separate pools. I always recommend my friends and family to stay here

I love Harrah's and have been going there for a very long time. We were there a few weeks ago and I was shocked at how rundown the elevators and rooms have gotten. Our room was in pretty bad shape and we were in the central tower. Next time we go, we will stay in the south tower to get a renovated room. The curtains were torn in our room and the shower faucet was badly corroded. The bed was comfortable though. There were marks all over the walls and it still had that oversized wall unit from nearly 20 years ago. The elevators in the central tower were not in good shape and when you pressed a button, the entire section attached to the wall nearly came open. But like I said, I do love it here. The casino is good and The Beach Cafe is always wonderful. I just wish Caesar's would put some money into this place to return it fully to its former glory. We will be back - we will just try to avoid the dilapidated towers.

Changed 3 rooms checking in. Try not to be in center tower. Rooms are way out dated, stink, dirty, and the bathrooms are a big wow. Being in service industry i would be embarrassed. Male at front desk was amazing. It is a good thing I don't have 3rd degree burns from the shower that can't be controlled. I was on 2 different floors and same story in the entire tower.

Cindi N — Google review

So we received a free 4 day trip and as the saying goes "you get what you pay for!" The 29th we checked in and went up to our room in the central tower. Went in and noticed that the mattress looked and felt like it had been there since day one! The black out curtain had what looked like knife slits in it and there were cobwebs in the corners. Overall it just felt dirty. We went back down to the front desk and the lady there was very apologetic and gave us a room in the south tower. Aside from cobwebs on top of a couple lamp shades it was much nicer. Went to get a $4 soda from the vending machine and it ate my money and got nothing in return. Made me want to go down and play there slots!!! LOL Tuesday we rented a car to drive down to Vegas "never been there before" While we were up in our room getting ready and waiting for our rental without warning the fire alarm goes off! "the speaker was in our room" We went downstairs and asked security what was wrong and he told us they were testing the system but didn't know how long it would last. After about an hour it finally stopped. We went back up to our room to get ready for the day and was never so glad to leave! Had a great time in Vegas and got back to our room and to bed around 4am Wednesday. Got woke up around 8:30 Wednesday morning from a text telling us that the water was going to be shut off around 11 for a couple of hours. So much for sleeping in. We took our showers got in our rental and left to go elsewhere. Came back went to bed and got up Thursday morning and decided to pay for another day on the rental. Headed downstairs to get some donuts and coffee. While walking down the hallway talking about what we were going to do for the day and looking around except at the ground, my fiancee tripped and fell over a hose coming in from outside into Smash Burgers! NICE!! "The only thing hurt was her pride" The truck said septic service on the side so who knows?? We spent the remainder of our last short day patronizing the other casinos because we knew we had to get up at 3am to make sure we would be able to use the bathroom before leaving for our flight. The only positive thing to say is the staff at the hotel were very polite as were the employees for Sun Country!!! Thank you for the computer generated response! Considering that everything I stated could be verified, we expected a little more then your generic response considering what we went through!!

Apr 2024 • CouplesWe have stayed here many times in years past. But, haven't been here in about 15 years. I know Covid disrupted the hospitality business. But, this place has really gone down hill. Supposedly, we were in a renovated room...It was disgusting!Bathroom floor was tiled with wall tiles! Extremely dangerous and extremely unsafe when wet(the person that did this was an idiot). The corners of the bed were torn up by a dog/housekeeping. The HVAC was loud, didn't appear to have a filter in place and looked alive with all the grey fuzzies on it. Looking out our window there were parts of the building/walls that had eroded away. Roof tiles were sliding off the roof. I'm just getting started here!!Elevators in the garage and hotel are disgusting and show a lack of preventative maintenance and care.I could go on and on! Some employees/workers appeared and acted overwhelmed/overworked.I will never again book a room/multiple rooms at this place again. Most importantly though, the bathroom is UNSAFE with the type of tile used on the floor.

This casino is a lot of fun. It's clean, smells nice and the staff are amazing. We will definitely be coming back here. The restaurants are delicious and the store has a nice variety of items/gifts. Most of all, there is a nice selection of games to play!

Christine H — Google review

Harrah's Laughlin seems to have lost some of its beauty inside over the last few years. Table games cost more than other places to play and they got rid of the non smoking table games all together. Lots of slots if that's your thing. I do like the Beach Cafe inside and the view from the outside patio. They have the only access to a beach (if you're staying here) and they keep the area clean. Water taxi will get you to other casinos. Rooms are okay. Arcade for kids (why would you bring them though?). Some snacky food places as well as a Guy Fiery's (sp?) place. It's only okay.

Tanya B — Google review

I upgraded to a suite which was spacious and comfortable and had an awesome view of the pool as well as the river. However they hadn't been updated since the 80s? The keys in the tub didn't work and the shower water took about ten minutes to warm up. At one point the water was turned off while my sister was brushing her teeth, with no warning. At least no one was soaped up in the shower! The restaurants were often closed or no one was at the counter. But I did have the best yoghurt parfait ever! The gambling was fun but no winner here! And the drink service was better than other casinos on the strip! The water taxi was only $5.00 and very convenient!

Deborah J — Google review

In room. There was No drinking water, microwave or safe in room. The vending machine has bottled water for $4! Needs renovation. The bed was super comfy with four pillows your choice of down or foam. Great river views. Not part of Riverwalk. Great value at 59$ a night mid week, with a 20$ resort fee. You have to drive or shuttle to the other casinos. I prefer something centrally located. But for $79 per night, it was worth it to me.

This is an older property, but it's fairly well maintained. Some rooms could use an update, I come here with my Caesars Rewards flight / hotel offers. It's laid out kindof funny, and takes a little bit to get used to navigating. I like coming here, and their casino floor hss updated slots. The beach area is beautiful, with access to the water taxi. I love the landscaping, it really is awesome. I will say it's somewhat hard to walk in the sand to the water's edge. It's steep, and you sink down in the sand, making it hard to walk in.

Stephanie H — Google review

Nice enough little casino in a place that’s warmer than the Midwest. The gaming floor has limited table games. But, they have a fairly large slot section.Rooms are pretty nice. The shower however is a really stupid design. It’s pretty much guaranteed to get waterall over the bathroom floor.Mattress is comfortable. Good pillows also.Above average gym facility for a hotel. Dumbbells up through 75lbs.

They offered a good rate as we were passing through. So we decided to give him a try.Rather than booking the cheapest room possible, we upgraded a bit and asked 4 with a view.During the day ,it has an awesome view. But at night, the large lights that light the exterior of the building shine through the window, and you are blinded if you attempt to look out the window. We asked management why they offered this as a view room and got a nonplussed answer and no offer for a room change. My only other complaint was a decent hotel buy decent toilet paper, Not the cheapest, harsh, single plytoilet paper they can buy.!!!My wife's attempt at their slot machine proved to be a waste of time as her forty dollars disappeared without almost any small wins. Not a bad deal, but it's not the best one being offered at laughlin for the money.

Richard F — Google review

We got in very late and even though we said non-smoking room, our first room was smoking in the South tower. We went back to the front desk and got a non-smoking room in the North tower. The room was ok, but the shower wall was peeling.

Monica S — Google review

In short this hotel should be condemned. And perhaps they've already started with the work they're doing on one of the towers which started before 7am. Stayed there with family and friends early May and was severely disappointed. I used to travel here from Colorado on a regular place and Harrah's was the place to be and the nicest on the strip. How far they've fallen. Rooms were filthy with questionable stains on the furniture, blatant rot in the bathrooms, and the rooms were never serviced for anyone in our group that stayed. There's supposed to be an adults pool. But kids were openly splashing around in it with zero enforcement. What really brings it home is the employees are even vocally expressing the same frustrations to the guests. Wow.We spent the majority of our time at other not to be mentioned hotels on the strip. I suspect everyone else is doing the same based on most of the restaurants being closed during the week at Harrah's. And it's not the area. The other hotels were hopping.Very sad.

Robert B — Google review

Used our Caesar's rewards for the trip. Rooms were okay showing signs of their age. The casino had a nice variety of games. Also had a non smoking area. River taxis were not in operation because the river was too low.

We arrived 5/17/ 2024 with family celebrating my husband 60th bday . One room(6fl) was ready . Very old tower -old style furniture , humid and air unit didn’t cool off until our second day late evening . All elevators had a muggy smell, no air flow very stuffy .The second room North tower (19fl) newly remodeled to be ready at 5:00 pm the coffee bar sink and one bathroom sink had no water , no tv remotes and door lock broken both inside and outside. . I reported issues to manager and security was requested to address our issues 40 mins past still no security . We had to cancel husband bday dinner 7:00 pm reservations at The Range steakhouse since we had no second room yet .Finally , we’re moved to different room in same (19fl) . No tv remotes, fridge never plugged and never cooled , scorching shower water with zero cold water and the entire 19th floor had no ice machines .Very disappointed and will never visit Harrah’s Laughlin again!! There are other great hotels and casinos in Laughlin to visit with better service and accommodations .Diane Peru

Abandoned gold mine open for tours, with restored buildings housing retro signs, photos & relics.

What a cool experience for our4 kids and ourselves. The owners are very polite and straight to the point. We respected them and their property / belongings and had no problem. They only charge $2 per person and they could ask for more, we refused our change to give back to them. . Cute little gift shop and cold beverages. We were informed to not touch the cactus and saw pics / stories of what happens when you do. Overall I recommend taking the drive out there and visiting this beautiful location. Drive down the road past them for a beautiful scenic route.

An absolute must! This tour felt like an attraction at Disneyland. The mine is so well looked after and the team on site is very interesting and knowledgeable. A great family trip and of course, beautiful property with lots of chances to take awesome pictures. We will definitely go again!

You really need to visit thie place. The price is 1$ adult/hour. The owners are very friendly and funny and they will tell you about the history of the place. They also have an album with the celebrities that visited/filmed in that place. You can also go to the Colorado River because it s only 5 miles away and take a bath because the water is warm.P.S. They have snakes in the freezer.

Going to Nelson Ghost Town was beautiful. The owners are so friendly. I bought a few things from the gift shop. I truly enjoyed the large collection they had. It is $1 if you would like to go explore on your own. Like in any historical location, please be mindful & respectful of this place. Looking at all the cars, I was wondering what stories they hold? What life they had? I had a great time with my family. Thank you.

We got married in October of 21. This was the perfect setting for our wedding. The owner was very personable, shared the history of the little town and even cracked a few jokes. He was very accommodating and I would highly recommend this venue.💛

Pretty neat place to visit. There were lots of interesting antiques. Our kids are a fan and asked lots of good questions about the history of the place. You have to check in at the front before walking around the area.P.s if you drive about 5 miles further, you get to see part of the Colorado review.

What can I say. The owners have gone above and beyond to make history come to life! From the crashed airplanes to the custom automobiles, they have a plethora of mining equipment. They have found several skulls and even an alien or two. Be sure to open the freezer for a real surprise☆The tour only operates with 4 adults for $15 each. You can look around all you want for only $1 . Well worth it.They allow you to peek in on their guest rooms, but be cautious when you do, as they may have company.Ask a million questions and get a million and one answers. Recommend 98.9%

Wild West Goldmine Town preserved! Awesome desert ride too. (only about 45min from the Flamingo)This town dates back to the 1700's, amazing! Now it's a ghost town...Lots a cool relics just sitting in there place. Some are used in movie shots too.We were pleasantly surprised at how a "City of Gold" would look way back when the Spaniards first settled here. You can browse the property for a couple dollar fee on your own or take a tour and go deep into the history here and/or even go down into the old mind tunnels... up to you.

No other tourists so we walked around a bit kicking up dust, nothing caught my eye but it was neat to look at. The bathroom was most impressive, very clean and a lot better than some places I’ve had the displeasure of peeing at. If you continue driving down the road a bit, you get to the Colorado River. The water was cool and looked so refreshing, take water shoes!

Nelson's Ghost Town is such a great little tourist spot! Friendly residents and a rich history. Next time I will come earlier for the tour.I really had such a great time! Had a blast exploring Nelson with my hubby. It is a nice little stop off the beaten path. It cost us a dollar each to explore and take some photos. I wasn't to sure all that was out there so I wasn't fully prepared for all the amazing photo opportunities. There is something for everyone. It has a great rustic feel. Who doesn't love old cars and cacti. I cannot wait to go back and get more amazing photos and do the mine tour. I highly recommend this stop.

Very cool place to visit. Not necessarily a ghost town, but had a lot of old school vehicles and buildings, and things of that sort. There was also options for doing gold mine tour and museum.Only ask for $1, if you plan to stay more than 15 min. We just donated some money because they were very kind and it's cool to have these things around in the long run.

Incredible experience!! Small fee for photographers but it was absolutely reasonable per hour. We were even able to tour some “hidden”/closed off to the public spots! We sped through and we were able to hit most spots before the hour was up. Definitely a little toasty, even in April so bring plenty of water (and deodorant lol).

After reading the negative reviews I’m wondering what’s wrong with people?!This place is absolutely amazing and well put together ghost town. When you arrive you will see clear signs what you have to do and maybe a bit straightforward BUT it is for a reason.I was walking towards the shop to check in when a guy comes out asking what do you want? 😂 I was like checkin as the sign says. He said it’s $1 per person to take photos with your phone or $10 for professional cameras. We paid $10 for 3 of us. Which is super cheap. He told us where to go, when he closes etc and we went around quickly as we had 1 hour only before it closes. You need more time than 1 hour however we managed and we had so much fun. Before we left we got some drinks and talked to the owner who was super helpful and friendly. He recommended to watch the sunset from the river down the road. We went there and it was absolutely breathtaking. Can not recommend this place enough. Must visit if you are in Las Vegas.

Really fun place to visit outside of Las Vegas. It's basically free unless you want to stay for a long time or book for an event. Some people have their weddings there.

Christopher T — Google review

Been here in 2011 and returned in 2024. A lot has changed, the hidden gem is a way more touristic these days but still a must see when around Las Vegas. It definitely gives you a sense of desert americana. Oh and Bruce is a real gentleman welcoming you.

Victor C — Google review

My husband found the Nelson ghost town on social media and we decided that we were going to go check it out. It's only about a 35 minute drive from Las Vegas and it's easy to get to.Unfortunately some of the places there and some of the buildings are no longer accessible to the public due to the damage that the visitors had done to the property and there are signs up showing you which ones you can go in and which ones you cannot. It does not cost to go out and walk around the main area where the vehicles are right by the store but it does cost to go across the road to the other area.We did not do the mind tour but I did hear the gentleman on the phone and he recommended to that person to buy tickets at least a couple days in advance because they sell out so quick.I would definitely recommend this place for families or couples alike.

We stumbled upon this place on our first day in Vegas. It’s about 45 out from town, but well worth the visit. The owners are super nice and full of great information. It’s practically free as the owners charge $1 per person and there is so much to see. You can also purchase snacks and beverages.Once you’re done exploring, don’t be afraid to venture onward to the Colorado River overlook. It’s about 5 miles down and a hidden gem!!!

The pictures don't do it justice! The mine tour was top notch by our guide Wade/Tony. Great conversation, the grounds are filled with old cars and buildings. For $20 we spent about 4 hours!

Must see place when in Vegas, its a bit of a drive but well worth it. The area can be explored on your own risk, just make sure to check in at the store first and read the big signs. it's close after dark (5pm). Like the sign says its not Disneyland, keep your dog and kids on a leash the native cactus can be painful and there are plenty of sharp rusted parts but that's the nature of a cool ghost town.

David H — Google review

This picturesque ghost town is truly unique, unlike any other. The entire experience is so surreal and captivating, it's almost indescribable. There's an abundance of sights to behold and activities to enjoy, making it the perfect excursion for a free afternoon while in Las Vegas. While we didn't encounter any ghosts during our visit, one can't help but imagine the countless opportunities for such encounters. The drive to get here is absolutely worthwhile; it's an experience not to be missed. Plus, there are plenty of photo opportunities just waiting to be captured.

I recommend stopping by on your way from Vegas. the ghost town is located in a picturesque location. the views are impressive. I think, it's definitely worth a visit. but it seemed to me, that there was nothing special to see there. admission costs $1 and can be considered free. and the woman, who works in the store, is very nice and friendly!

Such a cool spot to wander. We were there for a wedding. They have the sweetest little Chapel. Definitely worth the visit for the scenery alone!

Town of Nelson still has residents, not sure if it's really a ghost town. The Techatticup mine reconstruction is not true to the area, all items have been collected by the owners and staged. This does not mean it's not a great place to visit. Great old vehicles and buildings collected across the southwest, so there is great history behind all the collection there. Great photo ops but they have started charging.

A true hidden gem hidden in the Eldorado Valley. Lot's to see even on the cheap self tour. Super friendly folks and an easy walk around. Good half day trip out of Vegas to get away from the crowds. Didn't have time for the mine tour which runs around 90 mins. Plan on around three or four hours to take it all in! Will definitely be back!

The trail offers an up-close encounter with the unique desert environment, weaving through fascinating rock formations and Joshua trees. While the rock can be seen from the main road, taking the 1.5-mile nature trail loop allows visitors to explore more of the area's whimsical beauty.

Incredibly accessible, hence will be super crowded. Still worth a quick stop and a picture - you'll have other people in your Pic, just use Magic Eraser in the Pixel 6 to remove them! There are many rocks to climb here, but you should move to a different location that will be more spread out and have fewer people.

Loved Joshua Tree National Park. The rangers are super friendly and full of information. The park is very accessible, allowing some key features, such as this one, to be visible with just just a short walk. That being said, it is worth getting out of the car and walking around to explore. (All these pictures were from a 30 minute walk around Skull Rock.) Just be sure to take water and find your way back. It is also great people watching with visitors from around the world.

Carsten B — Google review

Easy loop trail for kids. Lots of people there so not a great place for serenity. The art of the trail runs through the campground which means there were a lot of toilets available too, another plus with kids.

Ryan G — Google review

Skull Rock is a cool area with many interesting rock formations to see and climb on. It is difficult to get a good picture of the namesake because of it's large size and where you need to be to photograph it.There is a lot more to see here than just the one rock. Do take your time to explore and climb on the rocks. Fun. Fun. Fun.Across the street is another path for hiking which connects with the Split Rock Loop Trail, and I definitely recommend that.Make sure that you budget enough time to properly explore this area. Be sure to wear good walking shoes & sunscreen and bring plenty of water.

Jeffrey P — Google review

The trail itself is well-marked and moderately challenging, making it suitable for all skill levels. The scenic views along the way are breathtaking, showcasing the park's natural beauty. Be sure to bring water and sunscreen, as shade is limited. Overall, Skull Rock Trail is a memorable adventure that allows you to connect with the stunning desert landscape.

Thompson C — Google review

One of four stops we made in the park! Really cool! Take your picnic and eat on the giant rock just to the right of skull! From there hike a bit through the rocks to find more cool formations! A must in JT!

Ron E — Google review

Really unique and interesting rock formation, right alongside the road. In addition to this rock, there are a bunch of other rocks that are fun to walk around and explore. The whole area is really cool looking, almost like the landscape of another planetThe only reason why I can't give this 5 stars is the throngs of people you will see here. It took me forever to get photographs without multiple people in frame, and everywhere you turn you see people. I saw more people here than anywhere else in the park, hands down. Although the light is best for this feature around midday, you'd probably have a much better time seeing this early morning or late afternoon when the crowds are more manageable

Gunnar C — Google review

The trail from the camp ground to Skull Rock has several good placards describing the plants and animals of Joshua Tree NP. Very informative!

Cory G — Google review

While on our way to the Skull Rock Trail on 2-25-2018 we took in the views of the different style dwellings along the way. We noticed subtle changes in the terrain the closer we came to the trail. When we arrived, we could see the skull shaped rock protruding out the ground as if were waking from a nap. The girls had their thrill and we were ready to continue on to our next BLM spot.

ChinookAdventuresRv — Google review

This is a very popular attraction in Joshua Tree National Park. Parking is designated alongside the main road. It will be crowded. We made it here mid day and were lucky to find a parking space. Skull Rock is merely steps from the main road. Natural water erosion over time carved out what resembles a skull. I did not have time to hike the 2 mile loop trail, I stuck to just the trailhead. You can spend around 30 minutes here taking pictures and climbing on the rock formations. The kids will love climbing the rocks here. I felt like I was in Bedrock in a Flintstone cartoon movie.

John H — Google review

Our second stop at Joshua Tree National Park was Skull Rock, and it did not disappoint! This iconic natural wonder is conveniently located right by the main road, making it easily accessible and a must-visit for all park-goers. It is also visible from your car. The granite rock's erosion created two hollowed-out eye sockets, giving it the name Skull Rock.Parking can be a bit tight, but you can always park at Jump Rocks Campground and take a short walk back to the rock. If you're up for more adventure, there's a 1.7-mile loop trail nearby to explore. The unique rock formations and the surrounding desert landscape make this a fantastic stop along your Joshua Tree journey. Don't miss it!

Skull Rock Trail in Joshua Tree National Park is a delightful jaunt into nature's whimsy, featuring a natural rock formation that resembles a skull, adding a touch of playful mystery to the landscape. The trail itself offers a short and enjoyable hike, weaving through the unique rock formations and Joshua trees, providing an up-close encounter with the fascinating desert environment. The highlight, undoubtedly, is the iconic Skull Rock, a testament to the creative forces of erosion shaping the granite boulders into this uncanny likeness. Visitors of all ages will find delight in exploring this area and marveling at the skull-shaped rock. It's an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts seeking to capture the perfect shot amidst the scenic backdrop of Joshua Tree National Park. The Skull Rock Trail is a must-visit destination within the park, showcasing the intriguing blend of nature's artistry and the captivating allure of the desert landscape. Whether you're embarking on a family adventure or simply seeking a short and memorable hike, this trail promises an enjoyable and memorable experience

This is a very relaxing 1.7mile trail. It's a fun and easy trail for everyone, the best part is all the different large sized boulders and rocks that you can climb you can spend hours here. If you just want to snap a photo of the skull rock it's only 100meters walk from the street.

Steven P — Google review

This rock formation, easily accessible from the road, is a popular stop known for its beauty. Due to its popularity, the area can be quite busy, including the parking lot. It's advisable to visit early in the day if you can.

Peter V — Google review

You can park as close or as far from skull rock and then hike to it. Theres all sorts of trails through Joshua tree. It’s a beautiful site! We street parked at an available spot and then just hiked here. 10/10 would recommend!

Autumn G — Google review

Enjoyable walking trails with ever-changing landscapes, creating a wild atmosphere. The paths are not too challenging, but there's a slight risk of getting lost the way.

Jing — Google review

A good place to hike around and experience Joshua Tree.

Chris B — Google review

Awesome rock formation very close to the road, but hidden behind trees. There is parking right along the side of the road, well marked and paved. We just went in and out, but there is definitely more to explore beyond the skull.

The World's Tallest Thermometer, located in Baker, stands at 134 feet tall and commemorates the hottest day in Death Valley when the temperature reached 134 degrees Fahrenheit in 1913. Originally built in 1991, it fell into disuse due to high electric bills but was revived and made operational again in 2014. Visitors can now see the working temperature as they drive by and explore a gift shop and diner at its base.

The thermometer was easily accessible from the freeway. Took some awesome pictures. There is a cool Alien spaceship (Alien Fresh Jerky) across from here which is so cool. Kids would love this place.

Arathi N — Google review

It sure is tall and the area sure is hot. The thermometer is just off the highway, so it is very easy to get to.Park across the street, so you can actually get a good picture of it. There is a small gift shop at the site.

Tim H — Google review

It is a large thermometer celebrating some of the highest recorded temperatures on earth. We spent a bit more time here than others as the gentleman in the store had lots of interesting facts about the local, history and wild life. All in all a nice stop on our way to Vegas.

Frans S — Google review

People say this is in the middle of nowhere. Who cares, there are good restaurants around, Del Taco, Jack in the Box, The Mad Greek Cafe, all the food you need. It's not dirty. People say there is trash around, seems fine to me. Yeah gas is $4.99 but at least there is gas.

Jake W — Google review

One of a kind experience, truly the worlds tallest thermometer (but it is digital!) Small gift shop and tables, check it out but not much there

Scott — Google review

It is what it is: A tall thermometer - and a gift shop. It's 134 feet tall, because 134 degrees Fahrenheit was the highest temperature measured when they built it.Don't expect more than what is on the picture. It's nice for a 5-10 minute break, but not more.

Nicki S — Google review

Whether I pass through day or night, it's always a pleasure to see that thermometer. Finally got the chance to stop in today and read up on a little bit of its history. Definitely worth the stop.Purchased three postcards and they were glad to mail them for me, they even covered the postage!

Errol B — Google review

It’s tall! It has an interesting story too. They guy running the gift shop is really nice and fun to talk with. They have a penny smashing machine with some neat designs.

Joel W — Google review

I heard about the World's Tallest Thermometer on a show. Never thought I would see it in person. I was visiting Vegas and heard about Alien Jerky. So I took the 90-minute drive to Baker, California, and behold the World's Tallest Thermometer!Being out in the dessert in September was still relatively hot. The temperature was sitting at 98 degrees Fahrenheit. When you're minutes away from Death Valley, it does get hot.The gift shop was nice to browse around and, of course, had to get a souvenir proving that I've seen the tallest thermometer. The staff was super friendly and answered questions about the place. If you're driving through Baker, I recommend stopping by, taking a photo, and picking up a souvenir.

Dani C — Google review

Was indeed quite tall, cute gift shop. Only attraction this way besides the Zzxyz Rd sign but it was fun. I put it on my list for two truths and a lie. The gift shop was quaint but cute.

Emma R — Google review

The world's largest thermometer is a bit run down, but it's a cool and unique attraction to visit. In addition to the thermometer, there are also other fun things to do on site, like using the penny smashing machine and using the bathroom. Overall, it's a fun and memorable place to check out.

Alex S — Google review

Loved this. It is what it is though, a tall thermometer. Went on a Saturday in early May, 93F, not one other car there but the giftshop was open. Good ac in there, and a restroom. They had a small parking lot right beside.

Evelina L — Google review

We had to stop at the EV charging station that is at the back of the shop. Pretty windy but nice clear view of the thermometer for pictures. The shop cashier was very nice and helpful, merchandise prices are reasonable.

Sadea J — Google review

Cool pace to visit, lots of 4 star reviews on here but what can you expect? It is what I’d expect from a place and shirts at $20, that’s much cheaper than nearby in Primm or Vegas. The guy working was really nice and fun to talk to also! Neat little visit!

Tucker D — Google review

Interesting place. I stopped there to charge my electric car at the behind store area. Then I enter to check what have inside. I had a good/nice conversation with the person inside the store, very polite and friendly. Then I went outside to take some thermometer pictures. It is really really tall. Funny and strange.

Lucas Q — Google review

Cute little shop with Thermometer outside. Tables around. Very sweet, informative young man inside. Smashed Penny machine and clean bathrooms. Excellent stop on our road trip!

Kathy S — Google review

Lovely little spot on our way to explore the desert. The nicest staff in the shop - helped us out with local info and a general good wibe.

Jan Z — Google review

The World's Tallest Thermometer is a steel electric sign in the city of Baker that is 134 feet tall to commemorate the hottest day in the Death Valley, occurred in 1913 at exactly 134 Fahrenheit degrees. It was built in 1991 by the Young Electric Sign Company for Willis Herron, a local businessman. After falling into disuse due to high electric bills, it was reacquired by Herron's family and made it operational again in 2014. Around the base there's now a diner and a gift shop.

Francesco X — Google review

It was an alright visit, nothing to exciting about it. Just like that we were able to visit a little piece of history (more then half my life this place was closed/off.) glad I finally got to really explore it.the flat penny machine cost a dollar. T-shirts range from about $20. Cute little cute stuffed animal of a bird with sunglasses think it was about $15.(might be wrong) Magnets are like 5$. I personally, really like the wall of money from around the world a collector myself. Clean store, clean bathrooms, respectful Clerk.I think it’s a good place for a picnic lunch on a not so hot day.

Hiking area

Nature & Parks

Scenic 1-mi. hiking loop with huge rock formations to climb & views of Joshua trees & desert areas.

Make this the last spot of the day. As the sun sets, the rock cliffs burn orange fire! With shadows on the other parts, it makes for an amazing experience - not to mention some beautiful pictures. The trail is easy, about a mile. You'll see lots of rock climbers tackling different surfaces, it is fun to live through them. 😉

Mini R — Google review

We’ve been to 4 or 5 hikes in Joshua tree now and happy valley is one of our family favorites. It’s an easy 1 mile loop, although our hike turned into about 1.5 miles due to the amount of climbing we did. This is such a fun hike with so much variety in what you see and can do. There’s limitless possibilities in bouldering. Our two kids, ages 10 and 12, loved climbing and exploring. We saw families with toddlers who were running and climbing off steam.Try and get there early as the parking lot tends to fill up by 10. We got there at 10:30 and we’re lucky someone was leaving. The rangers were redirecting people to another lot when we left at 12:30.There are pit toilets and many picnic tables for lunch at the parking lot. Easy drive in and out as well. Take sunscreen and water and enjoy the peace and calm of Joshua Tree!

J M — Google review

All Trails: 1.34miles, 118ft elevation gain, 56 mins. This is awesome trail! Not too difficult and saw two park volunteers hiking as well and they were very knowledgeable. Lots of prickly pear cacti which I loved! Tons of places to do some boulder climbing or watching the real rock climbers 😅There is no shade! Bring sunscreen, more water than you think you need (1L/hour/person), and layers.A bunch of variety of cacti and we found the “throne” of hidden valley 😂Have lunch at the picnic area after your hike! This is a very busy attraction! We arrived at 9:50am and got what seemed to be the last parking spot. Left around 12:30pm and there was a ranger at the entrance not allowing people to enter.

Chloe M — Google review

$30 to enter Joshua Tree National Park with a car, valid for 7 days. There are bathrooms and porta potties right when you enter the park. This is an easy trail if you stay on the flat path. My friend, and I ended up climbing over some rocks, and it was fun but quite difficult and not for children (8 out of 10 difficulty at times).

Heidi L — Google review

I loved this "trail." It really isn't a trail, more of a gentle walk through nature. It is short, well-marked, and doesn't have much in the way of elevation gains/declines. So if you're looking for a true hike, look elsewhere. That said, this little walk packs a ton of beautiful sights in a really small area. You're sort of in a bowl here, with rocks surrounding you on all sides. Inside the bowl there are really interesting rock formations all around you, and the flora here is very different than you see in most other areas of the park. Apparently this area is a bit of a microclimate due to it's geological features, and there are tons of signs throughout the park explaining the reasons for this. It is an amazing combination of easy walking, beautiful scenery, and signs containing really good information about what you're seeing. The one downside is this was the most crowded area I saw in the park with the exception of Skull Rock, so you will be sharing the trail with hundreds of people. But unlike Skull Rock and some of the other crowded areas of the park, the crowds here didn't really bother me.This was the highlight of the park for me, without a doubt. Although there are other hiking trails I'd recommend over this one, there is no other attraction in the park I'd recommend more highly.

Gunnar C — Google review

Easy hike (1 mile loop trail). We went there early ~ before 9am and easily found the parking lot. Would recommend to arrive early to avoid the traffic… saw long line cars waiting to enter the gate on the way back. This hike is suitable for families, mostly flat, rocks for kids to climb (not dangerous). Be aware of the cold. It was end of Dec when we were here and we wish we would have worn beanie and gloves.

Th?c T — Google review

Easy loop with some really great views of the rocks and Joshua Trees. Make sure you wear lots of sunscreen when you're here! One of the first stops on the trip and one of the better ones as well!

Josh W — Google review

Nice place to hike for 1-2 hours. Thieves used to hide their stolen cows in this valley and got this name. We saw two groups of rock climbers on two sides of the valley. We saw a few big birds and quite a few smaller birds.

John F — Google review

Plenty of toilet paper!!!We got here early after turning away due to crowds the day before. Nice quick early morning hike with great light and fun views of rock climbers. As with every spot in the park, this gets filled up and parking becomes very difficult. We took the opposite direction on the loop and it was nice having folks pass us in the opposite direction rather than following or being followed.

Keith T — Google review

Hidden Valley trail was recommended to me by a ranger at the Visitors centre. I arrived later in the afternoon and wanted to 'see it all in a short time before the sun went down'. This trail delivered. The trail is a loop that starts at the carpark and makes it around a relatively easy area within the park. You get the see the best of Joshua Tree national park. The Joshua trees are very unique and unlike any other trees that I have seen elsewhere. The fact that there are SO many of them and ONLY them is a really cool sight to see. This track will take you around some very interesting rock structures that are unique to the park. Depending on the time of day, you may see amateur and professional rock climbers taking up the challenge. The park can get HOT in summer so be sure to take more water than what you think you will need and stick to the track.

Trey S — Google review

One of the easiest trails to do. Lots of Joshua trees to see and good scenic points to take pictures. The trail is big so we went half way through and came back. NOTE: PLEASE CARRY A LOT OF WATER.

Akash R — Google review

I love this area of JT so much parking space, picnic tables, restrooms and a lot to explore around hidden valley. You will even catch a glimpse of some rock climbers in this area.I Captured Jaime & Yesenia engagements here at the hidden valley trail.

Alcabreraphoto — Google review

Easy hike with a clear path. Some rock trails but they are well-defined. Lots of nature to see but very little shade. Keep an eye out of lizards, birds, kangaroo rats and ground squirrels. Kinda cool being surrounded in the valley.

Edward C — Google review

You'll be immersed in the tranquility of the hidden valley, shielded from the outside world by towering rock walls. The unique geological features and the untouched beauty of Hidden Valley make it a captivating experience. Whether you're seeking a peaceful stroll or a place to connect with nature, this trail offers it all. Don't forget your camera, as there are plenty of opportunities to capture memorable moments amidst the breathtaking scenery.

Thompson C — Google review

This trail has a mix of flat terrain to walk and rock steps to traverse, with minor changes in elevation. You can expect to see some wildlife. Mostly birds, lizards, and desert rodents. The blooming cacti were really pretty.

thyblacksmith — Google review

As you drive up and see a few dozen cars, you think "yeah... Hidden... Riiiggghhhtt" (sarcasm). But then you get it and start going down the paths that break off everywhere, seeing hikers, people rappelling, and kids playing on rocks on to of rocks. Then you climb the rocks and see the amazing view, truly a Hidden Valley. 🤩😍

Great hike, my wife and i were out there at sun up....as the sun came up the shadows and lite wer neat to see. It was cold when we first got there, but once we got moving we warmed up quite a bit.Joshua tree is an amazing place and we are already planning on going back

M M — Google review

A beautiful trail. We did this 7am in early November. It could not have been more pleasant and wonderful. We took time to walk around. We are not professional hikers by any means. It was the perfect length with one mile loop that is easy to follow.

Ichiko K — Google review

A super short and easy 1 mile loop trail. It took me less than an hour to complete with several stops. There aren’t too many Joshua trees on this one but the rock formations and various cacti are cool. A bit chilly in October in the shade. The wind was also blowing hard. A great first introduction trail to Joshua Tree NP.

Aliza B — Google review

Christmas morning 2023, just perfect. A generally easy loop to hike, I'm a reasonably fit 68 year old. Packed with so much to see! We heard the happy chatter of many different languages around us, it was a popular destination. Some plaques were okay, but that whole "no dogs", even on a leash, because canine smell will deter the bighorn sheep is just plain malarkey. Always gotta be joy killers inflicting us with indoctrination. Funny thing, some foreign born visitors who engaged with us at Keyes View the same day mentioned to us that they found the placques inaccurate and off putting. Well, don't let the grumble butts deter you. This is a family friendly adventure.

Patti L — Google review

This is definitely one of the best bang for your buck trails at Joshua Tree. I haven't been to them all, but so far If I only had time to do one, this would be it.

Zoo

Nature & Parks

Big Bear Alpine Zoo is a large sanctuary that provides shelter for various wildlife in need and helps them recover before releasing them back into their natural habitat. This impressive zoo offers visitors an up-close view of animals that they may not have seen before, such as the snow leopard. The bear exhibits are particularly impressive and allow visitors to get closer to these magnificent creatures than ever before.

Amazing little zoo!! Didn't expect a whole lot going in and boy was I wrong. This intimate little zoo allowed us to see these animals way closer than expected! Went on a weekday, so it wasn't very busy. All of the exhibits were great, but the bear exhibits truly stood out. I have never been able to get that close to a bear before. It was truly magnificent. The thing that puts this zoo ahead of all others I have been to is how closely all of the animals can be viewed. Also my first time seeing a snow leopard. Definitely recommend!

Jamie B — Google review

We love the new Alpine zoo. Heads up though- the gift shop is closed due to the county COVID order. This may not affect too many people however our kids love to shop the stuffed animals as they’ve done every year. All of the indoor exhibits are also closed. However, still a great time walking around, watching the animals and occasionally hearing some insights from zookeepers as they feed the animals.

Chris B — Google review

An inexpensive adventure to take in few bears, birds, and a variety of other mountain type animals. Was a bit of a warm day and the animals weren't that active. Recommend going in the morning. Heard some of these animals were recovering. Would have been great to read some background on them. My 2 year old spent half his time playing on the playground equipment 1/2 way through the enclosure. Had a nice souvenir shop. Very nice employees throughout the zoo 👌

Michael B — Google review

5/18/24:My family decided to come up to Big Bear for the weekend and the zoo was our first stop while we were in town!I highly recommend buying tickets online. Makes it quick and easy at the entry gate. The zoo was small, but perfect. Shaped in a U. Easy to see all the animals. I loved the birds the most but of course my kids loved the bears! 🐻 🦅A small playground is located at the middle point of the zoo. A great feature for the kiddos. My son loved it. The bathrooms were very clean. The gift shop was adorable and so cute! Love the displays and set ups! Bought all my kids a small souvenir for under $60.If you’re here for the first time it’s definitely worth stopping by the zoo. The zookeepers were friendly and the animals look happy! 😊

Cyndi B — Google review

This is a small zoo/animal rehabilitation center but my kids loved it. We came in January and were still able to at least see all of the animals. It's clean and the animals seem well taken care of. There is a nice picnic/play area on the opposite end of the entrance with tables and a small playground. Decently priced especially considering the money supports animal rehab.

Matthew C — Google review

Very nice and well maintained small zoo. I remember coming to Big Bear and seeing this place near the ski place many years ago. I think it used to be called a sanctuary before, now labeled a zoo. Everything is new and the animals appeared to be taken care of. Nice place to visit with the kids when in the area.

T K — Google review

We enjoyed our visit here. Yes, it's small and yes, the enclosures are way too small for the predator animals like the Mountain Lion & Coyotes. But it's clean and there is a variety of animals to see. The staff were nice. It's a little pricey, but the money goes to a good cause!

Backpacker_ H — Google review

My husband and I attended the zoo during the weekday toward the end of April. The zoo is known as a safe haven and a rehabilitation center to its wild animals who have been injured, orphaned and or imprinted by humans and can't survive on their own. Each animal is in its own enclosure and a QR code is provided next to their animal sign that provides their unique story that brought them where they are now. The staff is friendly, the gift shop has a variety of merchandise and it takes about an hour to complete the walk through the zoo.

Kimberly M — Google review

I love zoos and this one did not disappoint. It’s a small sanctuary where the animals can live out the rest of their lives in a safe environment. The zoo was very clean and informative. The front lady was also very sweet.

Jenna L — Google review

Enjoyable experience for the family. 15 dollars for adults.Lots of parking in the lot.and free. This is the new location! Construction on roads can be difficult to find the entrance even if youre right there looking at the zoo.Needs better signage. Had to drive all the way around.Costs about 15 for adult tickets. You can see bears, ravens owls foxes wolves coyotes, raccoons, deer, eagle hawk snow leopard. No shade in here only by restrooms. Bring sunscreen and water. No water provided.Children have a small playground inside.Gift shop available.Small zoo. I'd say you can see all the animals in 30 to 1hr taking your time. But its cool to see 👀 ravens tear apart mice during feeding time.

Juma N — Google review

Nice little zoo in Big bear! It will be fun for kids and usually takes less than an hour to walk around! There are many animals and birds to see but keep in mind that they will be in the shadows if it’s too hot when you visit!

Chetan R — Google review

Great place to take the kids, small but very nice Zoo with bears, birds, deer, and foxes. Small playground is an added bonus. I suggest going early in the summer months as it is in the sun. Small gift shop with very reasonable prices. I look forward to going again.

Joy J — Google review

We had a blast with our two year old. It’s a small zoo nestled in the mountains and the views are GORGEOUS. It’s set up so that even toddlers can have a great view into every enclosure and there were a couple of play places. This zoo provides the opportunity to get the closest we’ve been to bears before. Very cool.

Jake N — Google review

Small and cute zoo, we finished in less than an hour. The highlight was the shiny racoon! I also love the QR codes that lead you to the stories of the animals. Although kids there were a bit out of control, pushing people aside so they get a better viewing spot, howling to the wolfs and stuff, while the parents just stood there and took videos. Please respect other people who also paid to enjoy the zoo.

Yu H — Google review

Alex was such a friendly and welcoming staff member that provided incredible fun facts about each of their animals. Definitely a great place to visit any time you're in the area.

I loved seeing the animals!!!! My kids and I saw a lot of animals we've never seen before, up close too was so cool!!! There were a couple animals that didn't have a description or info on them I was disappointed about that but nice Lil zoo with a cute kids play area :) we were there for ì'd say an hour ish? And omg we saw a blonde racoon!!! Lol

Nathania A — Google review

It was a very nice day. It is a very small zoo. It was a beautiful day cool weather and it felt like Winter. I must say the animals were very sluggish. It wasn’t very expensive free parking and $11 dollars for seniors.

Richard P — Google review

The staff was really nice, well maintained.Clean restrooms. Small snack shack. Free parking. They have QR codes that you can scan and read the history of the animals. We were there for about 1.5-2hrs.

M. O — Google review

I've been to many zoos small and large and this one had the saddest looking animals, with the smallest and most barren enclosures. The bears seem to be the star attraction and they're kept in dirt and concrete with a few trees and a water feature. The four owls in a single enclosure with almost no shade was depressing as well. The only animal remotely happy was the fat squirrel. Again I've been to smaller zoos before, but the animals had much more shade/privacy, usually the great frustration with zoos is that the animals are tucked away and hard to see, not here though, completely exposed.

Marcus W — Google review

Only been here once (March 2024) and loved it. It's not a giant zoo but you see a lot of animals and the playground for children was in great condition, my kids loved it. My favorite was the birds, especially the Golden Eagles!

Brian C — Google review

Nice even walk. No hill climbing. Great leasurly pace. The animals are clean and happy and well cared for.

Kari T — Google review

The staff was really nice and the place was well maintained. I noticed all the animals were well maintained and well taken care of. My husband and I really enjoyed our time at the zoo and also learned a couple of things about each animal(QR you can scan) which we found really cool

Evelin L — Google review

Nice zoo with a nice path to see all the rescued wildlife animals. There were so many animals, owls, eagles, raccoons, bears, foxes, coyotes. Very clean a lot of traffic but easy to maneuver around. Gift shop was way to busy to buy anything. I will be back.

Ski & Snowboard Areas

Snow Summit is a top choice for winter sports enthusiasts in Big Bear Lake, Southern California. With 33 runs, night riding options, terrain parks, and even a climbing wall, it's a long-running and popular destination. The resort offers over 240 acres of skiable terrain catering to all skill levels from beginners to advanced riders.

If the season is good this is the best resort you can find within 3 hours driving from LA. But always check the traffic if you head to Big Bear village during snowstorm or in holidays otherwise you can stuck in traffic for hours. The resort is good and I’ve got no complaints ever. I’m a huge fan of Snow Summit’s night sessions. Slopes become almost empty and it’s so cool to ride through the forest when the sky is dark and snowing.

Maxim P — Google review

Crowded lifts, lots of people and snow can be slushy. Can be ok if you must ski in so cal.Avoid fresh snow days as it will be packed wall to wall.Better to just drive a bit further so you can enjoy your day more.Other than the the resort is nice but needs to update older lifts.Addition of 1-2 more all mountain lifts would help to eliminate issues with lines.Needs better snow making capabilities to take advantage of snow making days.

Nick K — Google review

What's not to love about this place. Snowboarding only 2 hours away from Los Angeles. Night time was very icy but the day was good. I really enjoy the mix of runs available with ramps and boxes to try different things. You can also enjoy the beautiful lake as you head down the mountain.

Greg P — Google review

Nice place. Wish they had night time runs during the week. They also really do give you free lift tickets If you are there on your birthday. My wife skied for free our last day. That was an added bonus.

Aaron K — Google review

We came here for downhill and it was worth every dollar. The bike rental service is excellent: bikes are high quality and they give protection for elbows, knees and head included. The lines for the summit lift are very quick and smooth. The trails are of 4 different levels, all super nice and various. Best downhill experience I have had so far.

Pietro C — Google review

Had a great time. Rode the lift up. Had a nice lunch. Beautiful views. Rode down with gorgeous views of the lakes. Big bear and Baldwin.

Kari T — Google review

I started my skiing career here! Skiing is so much fun. I met a lot of interesting people! My friends and I took snowboard lessons and the instructor was very experienced. He was super great and taught me exceptionally well! My other friend didn't have a very good experience with the lesson she signed up for though, she didn't feel like she learned a lot. But we all had a great time!

Visited snow summit on a Friday for a hike.Bought a ticket for myself and my daughter. I used my ikon pass all day for food and got one round trip on the chairlift.... summit turns into a bike park during the summer and also has lots of hiking trails. Did a couple trails and picked up lunch on top of the mountain. We had Burgers and fries and it was perfect, lunch with a view. Also, at the bottom they have activities for kidsZipline, Rockwall, bungee trampoline, and you can pan for gold....fun day if you're looking for something to do while I big bear

Anthony — Google review

It had been years since we skied here. We typically ski in Mammoth. We have the Ikonpass and Big Bear is only 2 1/2 hours from home. This was our first ski trip for this season and we went at the end of January. We went on a Friday and we didn’t realize that they charge for parking close to the resort. There is free parking farther down and there is free shuttle service. There is a long wait for the shuttle. Snow Summit is bigger than Bear Mountain & the lodges are nicer. There seems to be less snowboarders than Bear Mountain that I like.

Catherine H — Google review

I love skiing & this is my local ski resort so I really want to give it a higher rating but the experience has some challenges. Parking & traffic control is almost always a mess. It’s gotten worse the last few seasons. Most people have to park off site & shuttle in. We buy the premium parking pass, but it’s still a challenge most days. The lines can be really long in the base area at tickets & rentals. We buy passes which helps, but it can be a maze to get through to the snow. When there is good snow & good grooming, the lift lines are usually pretty short although chairs 1 & 2 can be long. I recommend lessons for beginners, otherwise there aren’t a lot of runs for those without basic skills.

Esther D — Google review

Great place for mountain biking in spring, summer, and fall after the last snow and before the new snowfall occurs. Great also for wintersports, of course. The summit restaurant serves good food in a pretty simple sports dining hall atmosphere. The views from up there are beautiful and so is the lift ride, up and down.

Michael S — Google review

Mountain biking to the extreme. Very fun, but can be very dangerous. Know your limits and have fun. Start with the green runs and work your way up. Very, very addictive and fun!!!

Frank F — Google review

Rode mountain bikes here and it was fantastic...first time here, usually go to sky park or snow valley. Plenty of trails, good variety even for the greens and blue riders...will have to bring my son next time.

Albert ( — Google review

I loved the place, I went there with my dad, and brother. We all had a fun time, saw the “Red Cross” people skiing down the hill pretty often to ensure safety. Also saw snowmobile used as an emergency, si place is really nice a safe.Only thing I wish is the prices were better when renting equipment, other than that! Great place!

Carlos D — Google review

I visited snow summit for the first time on a Friday and luckily it wasn't packed. Food was pricey and okay. Drinks were pricey but better than the food. Lift prices are a bit high but for every once in a while, it seems fair. Pretty views of the lake and helpful employees

Heming D — Google review

Beautiful place for snowboarding specially after a snow storm, bring chains for your car if needed, check weather conditions, paid parking Friday to Sunday check website for availability, plenty of parking on designated parking lot.

Pablo O — Google review

Great resort. Stayed for the night session and was pretty well lit, some shadowy areas but just remove goggles and be fine. Way less people after 4 so highly recommended doing night session.

Dante — Google review

A great snowboarding season. Sorry to see it close for the year. Last sqy is fun but sad. Until next season. Cheers.

I have some positive reviews to leave for my families lesson on 3/09/24! Firstly, the kids academy was absolutely outstanding! Fromthe morning when I addressed concerns about my son on his first time skiing the staff put me at ease! After that first session, my son came back and told me “ I love this and can’t wait to do the afternoon session.” The second session he had Rick- and he was absolutely amazing with Conner! First impressions are so very important to a child adapting to a new sport, and this academy did an absolutely wonderful job of making a positive first experience outstanding!!! Thank you to the Kids academy!!Now for my experience, I had not went skiing for 35 years. I went to the second timers class. Within 5 seconds of getting off the magic carpet I was in the snow. Glen O. came over and helped me. He became my teacher for the next couple hours. He helped me overcome my anxiety, calmed my nerves and taught me in an outstanding fashion! After my lesson I actually went up to Summit Run x2 and only fell once! It was because of the excellent teaching that I was able to do this comfortably and with confidence! My husband had Lyle- who taught him fantastically as well! I can’t speak highly enough for all the teachers we had on 3/9/2024!

Beth K — Google review

I am an intermediate skier and went solo for the first time. It snowed the day prior so enough snow I didn't have to worry about scraping or anything. Runs were well manicured, with lifts all open, and not crazy busy. I did about 15 runs without incident. The people were friendly and overall pretty curious on the slopes, so a great day! Did I mention the view? Wow. Snow, lifts, lake, just beautiful. Nice warming restaurant - buffet pick up style, quick food, and a fire all inside should you choose. Outside has Adirondack wooden chairs around to "chill" in. Lol. Lift ticket pricing, well... You know everything can't be perfect.

Tammi C — Google review

First time on the slopes as a beginner. They have a Starbucks, a restaurant, and a fire pit outside to warm up. The staff is friendly and they have lessons for beginners for a separate fee. You can rent gear as well.

Came here in 2017 with our kids, and returned without them today. Google it to be amazed before actually seeing it. We were fortunate to arrive on a clear day, and right as a train was approaching. It's cool to see the engine windings the train around the mountain so many times, and see the caboose spiraling along! It's a short stop off the highway.

Farmers' market

Sights & Landmarks

The Big Red Barn, known as the flagship location of Murray Family Farms, is a must-visit destination on the outskirts of Bakersfield, California. It offers a wide range of activities for visitors, including guided tours, pick-your-own fruit sessions, and attractions like an animal train and petting garden. The farm also features seasonal events and a variety of farm activities suitable for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy picking their own fruits and vegetables or shop at the organic store for fresh produce.

What a lovely place! An oasis of colour and comfort. This family farm shop and pick your own is a joy to visit. The planting is a great mix of English garden l/Park and tropical. We couldn't believe our eyes as we were looking for a stop on a long journey and this place was beautiful and refreshing. The outdoor seating was shady and it was fun watching the birds. 10/10 to the owners. Happy place with happy staff

Paul F — Google review

Was hungry & saw this place just before we passed the exit. The other farm type place we had stopped at they wanted $13 for the yogurt parfait. $4 here! Fresh empanadas, the peach was the tastiest I’ve ever had. Got some honey with comb, even the fudge was a great price. & you can dine in the pretty courtyard. Loaded up for our trip, legendary frog balls 😂, cucumber chips. Great staff, thank you!

Dan G — Google review

It's a really great place to stop and get food. Fresh fruit and some damn good meat pies!! They're delicious!! Loved it. The only thing is that the restrooms are filthy and smell awful. I've stopped here several times, and they're gross. But, other than that, it's a nice place!

Leonor R — Google review

Great place to stop outside of Bakersfield. They have a cute indoor produce stand with a large variety of fruits and some veggies. The cherries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Homemade pies in variety of flavors and sizes, fresh popcorn and a large area of pickled items, jams, sauces and honey (the cactus honey is amazing)! There is also a small deli area where you can get some hot sides or a sandwich. Seating outside on the patio or garden area to eat. They offer a u-pick, but I did not check that out. They also offer fuel pumps with both gas and diesel. If you need to fuel up, stretch your legs, grab some fresh produce or a bite to eat, this is your stop! The customer service is friendly and everything was clean!

Kathy M — Google review

Great spot to stop by. Food was a bit overpriced but definitely worth it for the experience if you're driving by. They have a very interesting blueberry pulled pork that everyone should try.

Andi L — Google review

This was our first time here and we loved it! I took so many pictures in front of beautiful flowers. For Mother’s Day I got in for free. While being there they had a cherry pie eating contest and the pie was amazing! I also had a BBQ blueberry brisket pie and wow, it was soooo good. There were kid activities like slides a big air filled bouncer, animals and more. My kids had a blast. My favorite part was picking the fruits, the fresh picked berries are to die for. Unfortunately we were pretty occupied so I didn’t get pictures of the strawberries. If you’re considering going, just do it, you won’t regret it!

Shalini L — Google review

Such a fun spot for spooky season! We went a couple of hours before close on a Friday and the crowd levels were almost nonexistent. The price of admission comes with 1 pumpkin each, which I loved. We could’ve spent so much more time exploring, but we were running out of time before they closed. We’ll definitely be back before the season is over!

Red M — Google review

Stopped in for a bit of shopping and a wonderful lunch. Don't pass this place by in your adventures! In my opinion better than Disneyland! A million stars

C K — Google review

Nice place to stop when on the road — one can get fresh fruits, nuts, and pie!The prices may sting some but hey it’s a family farm business that uses some of the freshest ingredients one can source. So it makes sense. Quality isn’t cheap!!I’ve stopped here numerous times and haven’t been disappointed! It’s fun for the little ones and good for tourist to visit.

Mansa S — Google review

Nice little road stop & gas station with craft food, drinks, and fresh fruit!Very nice place to stretch, with ample bathroom options available for the weary traveler!

Joshua C — Google review

Super cute place. Great for pitstop to get out and stretch. Lots to see from the Popcorn house, the fruit and veggies fields to the attractions all over the place. Not to mention the friendly orange tabby cat.

Lucia O — Google review

The blueberry BBQ pork pie was great and my kid (picky-eater) loved it too. We had a blast doing pick-your-own citrus and it was a great experience for the kids to participate in agriculture first hand. I highly recommend this stop for families.

Steven W — Google review

I was so excited when I saw a big red barn with my hometown name on it. I am from Murray Kentucky so I had to stop when I saw this place in Bakersfield California. It took me back home walking in, I bought 3 okie pies that were absolutely delicious!!! I could have ate all three if I hadn't bought one for my mama and Gigi. The orange honey is the bees knees...his hands and his elbows and the blackberry butter is gonna be spread on every piece of bread in the house. Y'all gotta stop in and support the local shop.

Jzena K — Google review

Cute little spot for fall activities, even as an adult without kids. However, unfortunately, some of the activities weren't open. Maybe because we went on a weekday? We would have really enjoyed the apple cannons and paintball range if they were open. Otherwise, you really can't beat the price since admission even includes a pumpkin.. and good ones too! Also, bonus, SUPER PRETTY SUNSETS.

Cabrina H — Google review

So much fun to stop on our way out of town! Love the good food (especially the Oakie Pies) and the festive atmosphere!

Rebecca — Google review

Loved it! Came here during a kindergarten field trip and everyone had so much fun!

Maria A — Google review

They have fresh fruit all the time. (Absolutely delicious) not to expensive compared to other vendors around.I really love the blueberry pulled pork I completely recommend it!!We always try to stop here on all our trips by here but traffic sucks getting in and out of here.just one employee was a bit rude thinking she was funny just sending you on a scavenger hunt for things they didn’t have.

Lavender — Google review

Saw their sign in a field on our drive up to SF. Decided to make a quick stop to check it out and wasn't disappointed. Fresh fruits and fresh made Okie pies (pasty's). Picked up some Tango Mandarins and vine raisins, both nice and sweet. Also tried their blueberry bbq pulled pork okie and spicy ground beef okie with roasted vegetables that hit the spot after our 4 hour drive. One side note; this may be a one-off unusual case, but the apple pie wasn't up to par. It was too salty, couldn't eat it, we were in SF before we tried it. That aside, it's worth a stop, and there is a Chevron gas station on-site.
